Was a little concerned about the sturdiness but after putting it together and installing the radio it was worth the money. The wiring harness was perfect just a little confusing because the 2 or 3 extra wires but after a little of research it was easy to figure out they were for units that had extra features. It will be ok if you have 2 or 3 wires left. Match the colors and cap the rest. Remember to disconnect you negative battery wire before you start.

As with almost all of Metra's products this one was made entirely out of plastic. It went in easily and looks halfway decent, but not without some patience and modification:The "inner sleeve" for the double din adapter would not stay in place. I utilized a soldering iron and "welded" the plastic together while holding it in place so that it looked as it should on the outside.There is a gap that cannot be avoided while utilizing a heavy double din headunit. The installation kit literally sags slightly and thus the gap. I did shim the kit and was able to close the gap some, but not 100%.Overall it does what it is supposed to do. If Metra would have made the replacement "brackets" out of stamped steel or something that was simply more rigid then they would have gotten 5 stars from everybody I am sure. This would have eliminated any gap issues and supported the heaviest of head units.Would I buy again? Yes. Would I recommend to another Infiniti or Maxima owner? Probably.

Frankly, I don't care about the color match - it holds my new stereo exactly right, would buy again. Fitting is pretty complicated, but that's a function of the car - the instructions are good.
