I plugged it into my iPad and connected quickly to my home router for configuration. To avoid issues, I turned off wifi while using the wired connection. The device worked well for my purposes.

This adapter works great. I typically record a lot of GoPro footage and wanted a way to speed up the upload process so I purchased this adapter to plug my iPhone directly into my network. My overall uploads average 500-600GB so uploading takes quite awhile. What I didn't realize is that the adapter only supports 100Mbps speed, not 1Gbps. That one limitation actually slowed down my upload process to 10MBps whereas my wireless network can transfer 100MBps (note the difference between Mbps and MBps). However, if you're looking for a way to directly plug your iPhone into your network, without concern for wireless speed changes and or congestion, this adapter would be the one you want to use. I've checked online and it looks like all of these Lightning to Ethernet adapters only support 100Mbps so I believe this to be a limitation of the iPhone Lightning port itself.Doing a search on Grok, it explains it this way: "Most Lightning to Ethernet adapters on the market use Ethernet controllers that support only Fast Ethernet (10/100 Mbps) rather than Gigabit Ethernet (1000 Mbps). This is a cost-saving measure by manufacturers, as 100 Mbps chipsets are cheaper and sufficient for the typical use cases of these adapters (e.g., basic internet access on iOS devices). For example, popular adapters like those from Belkin or third-party vendors often integrate a Realtek RTL8152 or similar USB-to-Ethernet chip, which is a USB 2.0 Fast Ethernet controller capped at 100 Mbps. Gigabit-capable chips (e.g., Realtek RTL8153) exist but are less commonly used in Lightning adapters due to cost, power, and compatibility considerations."That being said, this is still a great adapter and worked perfectly out of the box. Every time I plug it in, it immediately connects to my network and keeps a consistent, solid data transfer speed while in use. With this device plugged in, my iPhone automatically defaults to using it instead of the built-in Wi-Fi which is something to note.Great product, works as advertised.

It's very small and connects directly to my router, no configuration, so it was super simple to set up. The speed is similar to wifi speeds on my network and I had a chance to check it out when the router feeding wifi to my home was damaged due to lightning. I wanted connectivity on my iPad 7th gen and hooked this right up to the modem and was able to be online several hours to troubleshoot my router before taking it apart and finding the fried capacitor. I needed a longer ethernet cable to connect to the adapter in order to reach the modem, but adding that cable didn't seem to effect anything as far as speed. It wasn't hot or anything when I disconnected it, so it wasn't being "taxed". It functions exactly as expected, perfectly designed for quick connectivity when needed and provided and it when wifi wasn't available. You could probably leave it connected for a quick solution to diagnose network issues with an Apple device since it's so lightweight and small. It's great to have if you have access to the ethernet port on a router or modem, or if you need connectivity and wifi isn't working for some reason. In my case, it was a life saver!

Just plug it into your iPad and the ethernet cable, and boom – stable internet. No setup needed, it just works. MFi certification is questionable. Doesn't charge simultaneously, but for a reliable wired connection, it's perfect. I expect most people don't need this or have a real use case for it. In the tech space it is a godsend to have for MDM issues. Being able to have a wired connection can make troubleshooting significantly easier.
