I was happy to find this for my much loved MacBook. I really like the smaller design, and it is a really good value. It is very well made and the cord is long enough for my needs. I like the fact it doesn't get hot and powers the laptop and charges the battery just fine. It simply works well, and I have no complaints at all. Great charger!

I've had and STILL use my 2008 MacBook Pro, replacing drives and upgrading memory, but I've gone through several power supplies, but Apple does NOT support these and hasn't for years, so the last power supply got hotglued together and is wonky.HERE IS A REPLACEMENT! Smaller, works fine! Better design! I'm more than happy... and it even has a nice carrying bag. GREAT equipment, great price!

Stephen King supposedly types his books using a typewriter and the tv writer/producer Stephen J. Cannell's shows ended with an animation of a very old timey typewriter with his production company's name on the sheet of paper in the typewriter. One could argue that writers try different things until, one day, everything falls into place and some device becomes part of their process and, at least, I, do not, under any circumstances, want to change my process. However, things do get old and, when they break, it gets harder and more expensive to find the parts that you need to keep your writing process intact. Sometimes, technological advances that are perfectly compatible with your device are not available to you because the volume may be too low for a manufacturer. Fortunately, in this case, a much improved and lightweight, power supply is available from HJTPower for a fraction of the price that Apple would charge. I really like that the people at HJTPower included a very nice and well finished bag that serves to fit this charger into the pocket in the laptop bags that were made for the unibody MacBook Pros. One thing that needs to be said is that this power supply needs a grounded outlet, however, if you have one, this power supply uses a notably smaller space than the original article. This power supply is a great value for the money and notably lighter than the original article. If you need a "power supply" or a "brick" or a "charger" you cannot go wrong with HJTPower's.

A different shape than most of the Macbook pro (I have a 2012 15 inch) chargers available; they generally imitate the apple design. This charger plugs right into the wall with a single cord. I have only had it a short time so I have not done extensive testing, but, when plugged in, it works. I much prefer this small form to the other shapes available. I am put off by the fact that this requires a grounded outlet (3-prong) when most don't. It does not seem to heat up anymore than the others. I have not compared its charging speed but that is not an important criteria for me. May be my new "travel" charger.

This cord charged my older mac without any issue or error. It is compact and built of similar material to the original cord. My experience with this type of cord is that it doesn't hold up very long. Given the price of just under $20, that isn't too bad of a trade off. I've gone through more than 7 similar power supplies over the life of my mac which is a 2011 that my kids use now. I hate waste, but even the original mac cable wasn't able to hold up forever. I won't know how this one holds up until I hit the 6 month to 1 year mark, which is when these after market ones tend to give out.
