This is my dream P trap in some respects, given the attractive brushed gold finish and the way it melds with my copper and gold themed cabin finishes. The problem for me is that the tailpiece that connects from the drain to the p trap is 200 cm, or 7.8 inches, and I need closer to 12-13 inches to connect to the p trap underneath my rustic farmhouse vanity.The company does not provide a longer tailpiece, so my temporary solution will be to paint a 1 1/4" drain extender to connect the tailpiece to the p trap while I see if I can pick up a better matching solution. Brass and brushed gold tailpieces in the length needed are pretty expensiveSince the appearance of the final install depends greatly on having a nicely matching tailpiece, I would suggest the manufacturer provide a longer option, and purchasers should take a good look at the vertical distance from their bathroom sink drain to the wall stubout to see if this drain will work.UPDATE: The painted drain extender is installed, and the drain looks very decent. As other reviewers noted, the slip nuts leak with the provided washers. I needed to replace a flimsy plastic P trap on a bathroom sink and this one caught my eye. This one is better looking than I required as it will be inside a base vanity. It is well made with tight fitting compression fittings. Contrary to some reviews I can confirm that the trap is all metal not PVC or other plastic as others have suggested. The metal is thin mind you. I used a hacksaw to cut off about 5" of the trap extension and the burrs and shards could easily cut you. I sanded everything smooth and used the rubber fitting provided for the connection at the wall. If there is a potentially vulnerable piece in this kit it is the rubber stopper fitting. It is currently water tight but it will be the connection that I will monitor most closely.In my installation I needed an additional compression fitting to connect the drain tail pipe of my sink to the new trap. Depending on your sink you may be able to connect this trap directly to your drain pipe. The install was quick and went without any issues.

This might have been more elegant than my job called for but, hey, I like shinny things! This isn’t your plain old hardware. It’s gorgeous. After reading a couple of reviews I thought there was a good chance that this was not truly metal as advertised. What I received is metal and while it isn’t really thick and heavy, it is nice quality. It came well packaged to prevent damage. The finish is a very nice, brushed look. Everything screws together well and it did come complete with the washers, flange and Teflon tape.

I am doing a minor remodel on my bathroom area, replete with a new sink. I am new to this, so I was shocked and set back when I realized I had everything except a new P Trap. A short internet research session into the reasons a new P Trap should be purchased occasionally will give you the eewy-jeebies… but solid logic nonetheless.The faucet I purchased is a gorgeous shade of gold, so I needed to find a matching P Trap (ideally). I saw this one pop up, and knew it was the one.if you’re going to install a new P Trap, it may as well be a lovely and flashy one. ;-)I do love this item and will upset my review if I experience any issues—but so far, I have not and I love it. It matches my gold faucet and drain perfectly.

I have not installed this yet but not sure if I'm going to keep it because it looks like it's painted PVC pipe

Es lindo pero no es metal. Es como PVC pintado.
