I don't write many product reviews, but I felt like I needed to for this one. I'm very hot-natured so I've tried a few different cooling towels trying to find the one that will keep me the coolest. I've seen the commercials for the Mission cooling towel stating that it can cool by up to 30 degrees so I decided to try it. In my opinion, this is by far the worst cooling towel I've tried. I found that it barely cooled me off at all. As others have said, it's too thin and light, doesn't hold much water, and dries too fast.What I find most interesting (and possibly even deceptive) is the "proprietary fabric technology" mentioned in the product description and on the packaging. When I took the towel out of the package, I almost immediately noticed there was a sticker over the contents tag that is sewn to the towel. The original tag that is sewn to the towel states that the towel is made of 60% polyester, 15% nylon, and 25% "cooling material". The sticker that was placed over the tag says it's actually made of 80% polyester and 20% nylon. So it's basically just a very thin towel. What happened to the "cooling material"? I'm guessing one of the following may have happened:1. They changed the product, removing the "cooling material", and had a lot of tags left over. If this is true, why would you remove the part that actually made it a cooling towel? OR2. Perhaps they make another towel that still has the "cooling material", and they put the wrong tag on this model. If this is true and they do have another towel that actually does cool, they should stop selling this one because it basically did not cool me off at all. OR3. Maybe there was never any "cooling material", they got caught misleading consumers with the original label, and were forced to correct it. I have no idea if this is true or not. It's just one of several possibly theories. If they didn't change the towel and this is the original design, it could explain the label change.In my opinion, if you buy this towel you are wasting your money. That is, unless you want a towel that doesn't feel nearly as cool as other towels for around the same price.

Wow I thought 50 / 50 about this product so I'm glad I made that buy. It does work and work well especially working in the back yard on those hot hot days. I even put it in the freezer for 2min and then use it for a long period of time, snap it & wrap it, and it brings such a relief to my shoulders and neck.

I don't ever write reviews but I felt this product deserved one (and no, I don't work for the company). I received this last night and the first thing I did was soak it in semi-boiling water for a little over a minute. When I took the towel out it was very hot to the touch but not even ten seconds after snapping it the temperature cooled tremendously and it felt cold on the back on my neck. I was absolutely impressed and would recommend this to anyone.

SO COOL (literally). These towels have been a life saver for me. I over heat so easily that I can melt an ice pack in 10 minutes. In the summer I used this thing so much. SNAP and it's cool again. I put it around my neck when out in the garden, sitting outside, even put it on my dog when he was panting in the car.

we went on a family trip to greece, turkey and croatia in July this past year.. purchased these because I knew it was going to be HOT HOT HOT over there.. I was rite.. it was HOT over there.. everyone in the family really enjoyed having these little saviors and SOOO many people asked us about them and we going to look them up.. all you have to do it carry it with you in a ziploc bag and pull it out when you need it.. .run it under water and snap it... it's cool and stays cool for quite a while... once it warms up you just pull it off your neck and give it another snap or two and back to cool!! when other people were running for shade and looking ready to pass out we were still doing well due to these... good product!!
