Have been looking at Loop Switchers (Pedal Controllers) for some time, and decided at this time I don't need midi control or the ability to internally re-order the pedals, which made the Mooer L6 MkII one of the top choices - and at a great price point.Easy to use, easy to program, works exactly as expected.Only 4 stars because I really wish it had a bypass switch. 36 presets sounds like a lot until you get into how many configurations you may want of all 6 connected pedals. I have chosen to use each of the 6 banks of presets as the base of the bank number and pedal number (bank 1 uses pedal 1 as the base effect, bank 5 uses pedal 5 as the base effect, and so on). Unfortunately this means to have a bypassed (no effects on) setting in each bank, one must use one of the numbered preset switches to bypass the pedals - meaning you only get 5 pedal configs per bank. I chose to save them this way (at present) because I want each bank to use a specific pedal and add other pedal configurations to that sound without changing banks. I'm certain I will change this eventually as I get more accustomed to config options, but right now that means I have 1 number assigned in each bank to a bypassed (no effect on) preset. If there was a bypass switch (independent of banks) it would unlock that 6th preset in each bank. Since this unit has a built-in tuner, a bypass instead of a Mute switch (with attached tuner out) would be preferred to me.However, I'm pleased with this unit, and it works great! One of the reasons I wanted a loop switcher is because I have pedals that 'pop' when activated, and due to how these types of loop switcher pedals work, they eliminate that - because the pedals are in 'always-on' mode. This should be true of any such controllers. This one is cost effective and the smallish footprint means I can fit it on my board with all of the other pedals - in fact, I was able to add one because I don't have to push the pedal's switch at all...

Intermediate guitarist. I’ve purchased and returned at least six different multi pedals, most of them more expensive than this one. Finally, FINALLY, I found what I’m looking for: simplicity, versatility, and great sound. The Red Truck has changed and inspired my playing. I’m having a hard time putting my guitar down!1) Simple – analog controls, and every single thing it can do is right up front where you can see it. Hit a switch, tweak the settings, and go. No more apps, digital interface, or menu diving; no more tiny screens with useless information like “FBM1C.” If you’re a newbie, you’ll spend a few hours learning the controls, but once you’ve got ’em down, you have loads of new sounds to play with.2) Versatile – check out the parameter options on every switch. Plenty of ways to tweak and fine-tune your sound.3) Good-to-excellent sounds. Drive is the best sound on the pedal – it gives me a good growl when I’m playing blues. Next up is analog delay, which adds a nice fat echo. I’m not a distortion guy, but holy honkin’ Moses it can sure scream, especially combined with drive. Reverb is decent but not great, and shimmer adds an octave overtone if you want it. Modulation voices are disappointing (see below) but the chorus and phaser are usable. Watch some demo videos to see what this pedal can do.Yes, single pedals will give you better sound and more options, but you’ll have to spend a whole lot more money, and then you’ll need a pedal board, power supply, patch cords, etc. I doubt you could do it for less than $500 – the Red Truck cost me exactly $200, plus $20 for the power supply.More great stuff:1) The FX loop on the pedal, four-cabled with the FX loop on the amp, puts Boost, Drive, and Distortion in front of the preamp, and modulation, delay, and reverb where they belong – in your amplifier’s FX loop. It sounds great – much better than just front-loading the whole pedal into the amp’s input. You can put other pedals in the FX loop, too – I have EQ on send and and chorus on return. Cabling instructions are in the manual.2) The Boost switch, when the pedal is four-cabled, allows me to turn up (and bare-bones equalize) the volume of the pedal before it hits the preamp. This means I can lower gain and volume on the amp itself, and get big fat sounds at lower volume. Before Red Truck, I had to crank the amp's gain to get a good growl. Now I get the right sound without breaking my eardrums, or annoying my neighbors.3) Pass-through is very clean, but the unit needs to be on.Downsides:1) The big disappointment is chorus/flanger and tremolo in the modulation unit. I like a little chorus in my mix, but this is more flanger than chorus. Tremolo is high-maintenance – getting it right is a real pain. Phaser sounds fine, if that’s your thing. If chorus is important, you may want a separate pedal – I picked up a Boss CE-5, and it’s just the sound I was looking for.2) “Storing a preset” means nothing more than remembering which switches are on or off – you can’t store the parameters. This might be useful if you’re performing, but it’s easier to just hit the switches.3) No off switch, and no power-off after idle time. This means the tempo indicator flashes ALL THE DOGGONE TIME, and a flashing light is very annoying when the device isn’t in use. I use this switch: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08K3LFHZ5?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=14) Boost needs a Mid knob, and it needs it bad – bass and treble aren’t enough to equalize it properly. An equalizer pedal makes Red Truck sound much, much better. I use the Boss GE-7, but Behringer makes a clone for just $25.5) When the unit's on the floor, you can barely read the indicators on the tiny control knobs, and they're hypersensitive at the low end.Bottom line: after a long search, this is finally the right multi-pedal for me, and it's only $200. It isn’t perfect, especially the chorus – but I’d have to spend way more to do better. You don’t need to spend another penny, but an EQ pedal is a great investment – you can shape the sound any way you like.Power supply tip: Get the Mooer adaptor. The Red Truck needs 9V 1A, and the Mooer adaptor is 2A. You’ll have power left over for other analog pedals (don't daisy chain with digital).UPDATE: Great customer service! OD and distortion started dropping out, and a few emails with Mooer got me a replacement – no hassle. Well done, Mooer!

Absolutely perfect.. I was able to control six effects with zero hum or other issues.. very happy with the unit.. easy to install very inexpensive, and a chimpanzee and two trainees could run it..😂

I got this to experiment with diff pedals at home and at practice. The main thing i wanted it for was to A/B/C etc diff models of the same type of pedal; so like switching between a bunch of Klon clones. For this it does work perfectly.Just as a standard loop switcher its great. You can use it as individual or set up banks. I tried different programming just to see how it was; very easy. It doesn't come with user manual but im sure you can get this on the internet. If you've used this type of gear before you honestly can figure it out really quickly without a manual.Switching is good. No noise or anything weird.Having a built in tuner is always nice, as long as you're not being overcharged for this. But really, every musician already has one or more tuners that they love. When you engage the tuner, the switcher is muted; i really wish this was something you had the choice to enable/disable; i don't think most people will wait until the song ends to make tuning adjustments. There is a tuner out jack, which is a pre-loop sub so you *can have your fav tuner sitting there running. I don't know if/how the buffer(s) affects this tuner output. There is a mute switch, which for me is impossible to hit because i'm not a tiny-footed tap-dancer. Every time i tried to hit the mute switch, i was also hitting the 5/6 buttons. As some other ppl have pointed out, the indicator lights on each switch are right next to and in front of the switches, which makes it hard or impossible to see when you're back even just a few feet from your board. Its super annoying. This switcher has two buffer options; pre-effect pedals and post. This really is something that ALL gear like this should have. Not everyone will need both, but most people will need one of them. In my opinion, anyone who doesn't think they need a buffer somewhere in their pedal chain, just doesn't actually understand what a buffer does and how it can affect your sound. This was a good buy. Highly recommended!

You definitely get what you pay for. Although it is on the cheaper side and capability is limited, it’s way more worth than spending at least twice as much on a loop switcher that has maybe one or two more features.
