I did a ball joint replacement on my 2002 Ford F150 about a year ago and they were better than I expected. I really liked the fact that they were slightly over sized.

2001 Ford explorer sport. Two wheel drive. Fit perfect. Easy replacement.

Just buy the Moog parts, stay away from local auto parts store parts unless its an emergency. I have bought the cheap garbage from local auto parts store in the past. Its great that the auto parts store parts usual has a lifetime guarantee, but what the point if it fails in a year and they give you a free part which means you have to either spend your time replacing it yourself or pay a mechanic because they typically will not pay for labor or the front end alignment you have to do after replacing some steering/suspension parts. Just buy the Moog part and get better quality and durability.

The castle they provide is bigger (27mm) than old ball joint which was 24mm. It took me 1hour to install. For the price and reputation. A good buy IMO.
