Factory part so it’s an exact fit! Don’t get fooled by the manual that states the trans is sealed and does not require a fluid change for 100k or whatever ridiculous mileage they put. Drain and refill the fluid in your auto trans every 30-40K miles and replace the filter every 2nd or 3rd time. All fluids wear out over time, this causes sludge and grime to build up which leads to shifting problems and eventual failure.

Just installed it a week ago. Original equipment on my 2007 Ford Mustang.

First off the picture as of is NOT of the FT142. The gasket for this transmission is a metal reusable one and there are two orange rubber o rings that act as gasket for this filter. Just unscrew and pull out the old filter, check to make sure old O rings came out, insert new filter and torque bolts to spec. I change mine every 50000 miles with the fluid. Stick with Motorcraft parts on Fords.
