I like these straps. I have a Mountainsmith lumbar bag I have had for a few decades. As I have aged I lost a lot of weight and the bag became too large. The belt strap was too long.I could see the strappet was made for a list of lumbar models. I could not find anyplace on or in the bag where there was a model. I took a risk and placed the order. It did not fit my bag as the instructions described the connection to the bag.But, I really liked the feel of the shoulder padding. I ordered a kit of 1 inch black strap with lots of buckles, d-rings, and more. When it arrived I started cutting and sewing. I modified my bag to fit my waste. I changed the back straps of the Strappet a little and sewed them to my bag. I used two buckles on the front to be able to connect the front straps to the belt. I made other changes and now I really love the final result.! I loaded a lot of test weight into the bag and the fit is comfortable on my shoulders, waste, and back.If you know your bag model and it is on the list, it should be very easy to add the Strappet . If you do not know your bag model you have other options; return or customize.Everything I have purchased from Mountainsmith has endured for decades or years. They make products very durable. I expect to enjoy my new gear setup for years.

Tourで1年程使用しました荷物は3kgほど5時間から半日移動し続ける使い方です商品自体はしっかりしていて背負って違和感もありませんただマウンテンスミスはショルダーベルトを使うことで荷物を身体に固定したまま正面に回して中身を漁れるのが最大のメリットだと自分は思っています、この商品を使うとそれができず通常のバックパックと同じく都度下ろす必要がありますマウンテンスミスの使い慣れたバッグを使いたいか背中が蒸れるのを少しでも避けたいのでなければ素直に他のバックパックを使う方が良いと思います、私は前者でマウンテンスミスの形状と荷物の配置を変えたくないのでこれを使用しています使えるバックパックを所持してるのならわざわざ買う必要はない商品ですが物はしっかりしています唯一色が黒しかないのが不満と言えば不満でしょうか

Due to the recommendation of other buyers, I purchased two “strapettes” to replace the included shoulder straps for the "Tour" TLS R and "Daylight" TLS R lumbar packs. The strapette disperses the pack’s weight evenly, which makes carrying it far, far more comfortable.The strapette is well-constructed from heavy-duty nylon material and is easily installed on the "Tour" or "Daylight" lumbar pack. The 2 1/2" wide shoulder straps are padded, are adjustable for length and has a stationary sternum strap which provides added support, plus prevents the straps from sliding off the shoulders. Two slight drawbacks: (1) The sternum strap should be designed so that it's adjustable - it would add to the user's comfort level if it could be moved up or down the chest according to personal height. (2) Once the length for the shoulder and sternum straps are adjusted to personal size, the excess 1" wide nylon straps just hang. There should be elasticized loops to tuck the excess straps into so that they're not flapping around. The strapette disperses the pack’s weight evenly, (much better than the included shoulder strap), which makes carrying it far, far more comfortable.In my opinion, if you do any amount of walking, hiking or carry heavy loads, the strapette is highly recommended - it's a “must” and is well worth the extra expense. It’s too bad that Mountainsmith doesn’t include this with the "Tour" or "Daylight" lumbar pack instead of the shoulder strap, because it's far more useful and certainly adds to the overall comfort.
