I've been trying for months to get my baby to learn to drink from a straw or open cup with very little success. I was using a little metal 2oz shot glass previously. I didn't think changing the material of the cup would make much difference, but I think it did. The silicone material is soft enough for his teeth but sturdy enough for him to hold. I am still assisting him to drink small sips but he is finally starting to get it (he is now 8.5 mo). I only fill the cup 1/2 way so that in case he does spill it, it's not too much water.

Fits in my toddlers hands perfect and was the best for cup training. Soft but durable.
