This saw might be small but it is very well engineered. I purchased it for my jewelry business.....where parts of my work entail cutting small pieces of exotic wood and plastic. The saw is perfect for this use! It's solid and has a very stable mitre gauge and length stop. What's also nice is that the blade (the saw comes with several different types) can be raised or lowered. It's fairly quiet with very little vibration. The height adjustment for the blade is easy to do while the blade is still attached to the motor arbor. The footprint of the saw in small so you could have this on a small work surface if necessary. Overall I am very pleased with this saw and recommend it for cutting small pieces of wood or plastics.

I love this little saw. I would definitely risk the wrath of some guys by saying it’s cute. But it really is. It works well for my needs (mostly for epoxy projects like building support frames for molds) and appreciate the fact that the blade can be adjusted up & down. I have read other reviews that complain this saw doesn’t do this thing or that (usually about the lack of blade adjustment). But I say that for the price of this you get a very high quality tiny table saw that does exactly what it says it will do. It is well made/manufactured and seems quite sturdy. I will say with some wood it does kick and bind but that’s more of a need on my part to get more familiar with the saw (just getting used to it). This was with a piece of 1” x 2” wood I used as stakes. I mainly use it to trim epoxy after demolding and to build support frames for some resin molds.

I rely heavily on the reviews of an item to decide whether to purchase or not. I appreciate honest, unbiased, and fair reviews of an item and I strive to do the same in my assessments. While my primary hobby is leathercraft, I occasionally work on small woodworking projects.Overall, this is a nice little saw at an economical price and it should perform well for the hobbyist provided users sets it up properly and respects its limitations. I have used this saw a few times now with the fine-tooth blade to cut some thin strips of pine and soft cedar and the saw performed admirably. I have not cut anything thus far that exceeds 1/8” in thickness, but I am pleased thus far.Recommendations:I strongly suggest reading the manual on this saw through a couple of times to become familiar with the saw, its components, the type, and size of wood you can cut and those you cannot. The manual also has a QR code that you can scan for a short video that will show you the proper method for changing the blades. Also, the pictures located beneath the saw’s picture on Amazon’s website are helpful. Some of those pictures show details that the manual does not address clearly.Likes:1. The saw arrived extremely well packaged. It come with everything needed for assembly.2. The base of the saw is made of metal and is quite sturdy. I’m not certain the composition of the table top, but my guess would be some sort of aluminum alloy.3. Saw’s dimensions: 7"L x 5.5"W x 3.0"H. I mention this because further on down, in the detailed product’s description on the website, it incorrectly states the overall dimensions.4. The saw blade height is easily adjusted by inserting the appropriately sized allen wrench into the hole on the table top that has the arrows around it and turning either clockwise or counter clockwise. Max cutting depth is approx. 1/2”.5. The power of the motor is sufficient for cutting the woods (and sizes of same), specified in the manual.Dislikes:1. The rip fence is more than a little cumbersome trying to align it properly. Tool Tip: When using the rip fence, use a combination square to ensure the rip fence is aligned exactly parallel to the blade. There are measurement marks on the table top, but relying solely on those marks to get an accurate cut, will most likely, result in an inaccurate cut. I have provided a picture to illustrate how I did it.2. The dust port is a ribbed plastic tube about 6” long that is squeezed into the back of the saw. I don’t use the dust port anyway, but thought I’d mention it for those who deem this an important issue. In my opinion, this is a feature that could be greatly improved upon.Tool Tips:1. Before installing a blade, take special note of how the outside washer (that secures the blade) is positioned. It’s important that you insert the screw on the side of the washer that is ‘smooth’. The other side of that washer is ‘grooved’ and that is the side that should be touching the blade. Once you go to install a blade, this will make more sense. Just be sure that when tightening the washer, it ends of looking like the picture below. I inadvertently installed it backwards and recognized my error when the saw blade immediately stopped.2. Only use this saw to cut soft woods and only those that meet the size limit restrictions.3. Do not exceed the continuous run time of the motor specified in the manual which is about 1.5 hours max. If the unit begins to feel hot, shut it down and let the motor cool.Overall, this is a good unit for what it is and at an economical price.

I purchased this little jewel to cut parts for an N scale railroad. I use basswood, balsa and sometimes thin plastics and nothing is over half an inch thick. I’m not one of those guys who pushes his tools to the limit, I’m interested in whether or not it does what I need it to do. This saw performs admirably. It is quieter than I expected, it doesn’t bog down, cuts quickly and accurately and is built solidly and is well made. What would I change? I’d find a better way to secure the rip fence and the angle on the mitre fence. Screws and wing nuts are fine but I may come up with something better. A case would be nice but it would ad to the price, I’ll find a plastic shoe box that’s the right size.I can’t speak to longevity since I just bought it, but I suspect it will work fine for me indefinitely. The value for the money is excellent as far as I’m concerned. If anyone purchasing this is bogging down, overheating or kicking back, you probably should buy a bench top table saw and a zero clearance insert.I would buy it again and will recommend it to friends and family.
