I was a bit concerned because the original gasket was black while this is red. But it fits perfectly in its slot. And it stopped completely the leak of water coming from around the coffee holder, which was due to the old gasket having hardened and deteriorated. Warning, removing the old gasket and the grimy parts that hold it required applying much more force than I expected…

The original gasket from my Gaggia Classic was hard when we got the machine. Coild only turn the portafilter handle about halfway to the arrow. Over time it got harder and wore a groove in it so it wouldn’t seal.This is much

Fits perfectly for my post-2017 model, and I have no issue replacing it. My machine is new again and doesn't gush out water like crazy after the replacement.

We own a Gaggia Classic Espresso machine. For the last 5-6 months, whatever we do we could not get pull good espresso out of the machine. I realized that there is a leak at the portafilter-grouphead area and cleaned the machine to fix it. But the leak soon came back. I realized the gasket seal is hardened and decided to change it. OMG, now I can drink real espresso again. This new gasket fits perfectly and works like a charm. The pressure is back and therefore my espressos are all foamy and super tasteful. I 100% recommend it.
