This Naturehike Foldlight is a rugged bright light with a large battery that can be used for any number of applications from camping to emergencies and is an ideal fill light source for photography. This light is fairly unique in that it can be used as either a square point source or unfolded into a strip for reduced shadows. It has 3 standard 1/4-20 photo tripod mounts positioned for using the light in its square configuration or as a vertical or horizontal strip light. The light features 3 color temperatures and can be dimmed for any application and/or to extend the battery life. The unit can be charged from any USB charger with the included cable, which can also be used to charge any cell phone or tablet, with the now standard USB-C charging port, by using the light in the power bank mode. The light also has a fold out bail at its center of gravity and comes with a special carabiner to hang the light for overhead illumination. The light is very bright and in its full bright mode, it probably puts many operating theaters to shame. It might be useful if you ever need to do an emergency appendectomy.The light is very high quality and rugged, with lots of nice features, which certainly help justify its relatively higher cost compared to similar units.

It's frustrating to get a light these days that can't remember your previous luminance and/or kelvin settings. For my usage, I like to keep the light at it's lowest output (warm and between 1-5%) to get the most battery life out of it. I prefer the ambience of the light and will crank it up if/when needed.Unfortunately, with this light it doesn't remember your previous settings. Even more frustrating is that you need to hold down the power button to change the brightness and it has to go full brightness before adjusting it to low (starts in the middle upon powering up). I attempted to change all colors (cool neutral and warm), but it always powers back on at 50% output.Besides the memory function, the magnets are not quite strong enough to hold this light up in any position. It comes with a carabiner hook and several 1/4-20" threads though which is nice. I think the magnets are more meant for positioning the light unto itself, but it would have been great if it could have mounted with them too.Anyway, I am not too thrilled with this light and don't see myself using it much. I think there are much better options out there and would look somewhere else.

This light panel is extremely sturdy and hefty in weight due to its battery, and the light output was surprisingly bright. It has three different color temperatures, which switch at the press of the power button. The three panels click into their stacked or linear positions very easily but the hinges are sturdy so there's no worry about them wiggling out of shape. There is a loop for you to hang the light from the included S-biner. The S-shaped carabiner clip itself is made of plastic so it felt pretty cheap, but I guess it's nice they thought to include that. It arrived fully charged and ready to go, along with a small USB-C charging cable. There are two points of attachment for threading in a tripod (both while the light is linear and stacked) which is a very thoughtful design. Overall, the light is an incredibly sturdy piece of equipment that you don't have to worry about babying on a trip, whether you're using it for photography, video, camping, or working in the garage. It's also very convenient that there is a power output to utilize the light as a power bank also. My only gripe is that I wish it were a true white, versus a more bone-white / very light gray. Perhaps a black version would've been a more durable colorway if it were an option.

This camping light has a unique design that offers a few ways to use it and has a high quality feel overall. When transforming to the different shapes, the light feels very solid and well built. There's no "cheap" feeling to it at all and makes me feel like it will be pretty durable.It has plenty of magnets so they're still available depending on how you configure the light. This will work very well when I use the light in my VW campervan. I can use the magnets to fix the light along the side, or anywhere with metal. I can also hang it under my awning with the built in hook and included carabiner/clip.The dimming/brightness feature is stepless and gives a nice confirmation blink when reaching either the brightest or dimmest setting. There are also three color temperature modes, from cool to warm. It's nice to change the color temps for various scenes, such as when I have candles burning also, it's nice to have a warm LED light to match the ambiance. For lighting up the bar-b-q, it's better to have a cooler light. In any event, it's nice to have choices.I also like that the light has a couple of tripod threads for additional mounting options. As a photographer, I always have a tripod or two with me, as well as many other types of mounts that use the 1/4"-20 tripod threads, so I can place the light anywhere I want. That's a nice inclusion not typically found on a camping light.Overall, I'm impressed with the clever design, the build quality, and the functionality of the light itself. I've purchased a few products from Naturehike and none have disappointed. I like the light, and so far, I like the brand.
