Exactly what I expected. I typically wear size 32 and hesitate to buy shorts or pants online because 32 is can actually fit like a 30 or a 34 depending on the style. These are comfortable around the waist and sit well on the hips and don't grab at my thighs. There is plenty of room in the crotch and butt area. I prefer shorter shorts and these are well above the knee as a 6" inseam should. Overall, great fitting comfortable shorts.

Great shorts. Fit was perfect. length was about two inches above the knee-just where I wanted them to sit. quality and style are terrific. I'll buy more colors next year

When your son grows faster than he can keep clothing, finding new shorts online is a Godsend! These shorts fit perfectly right out of the package and came just in time for us to take with us to Florida...no wearing just bathingsuits for my kid this vacation. He looks great in them and the fit/color/size is exactly as I expected!

These are well made and of a little thicker material than one might expect from the pictures and the description. They run large in my experience. I got mine for around $10 on sale, and that's a big plus.
