Ironically, I ordered a size larger than my normal when I ordered these, since I wanted them to just wear around the house relaxing, doing chores, or to bed in the summer. I was quite shocked when I received them since the first time I tried them on, they were really snug around the waist... remember, I had already ordered a size larger than my normal. Two of the pairs, the strings on the waist had disappeared into the waistband far enough that I cannot pull it back out, the third also did that but I was able to retrieve the strings and secure them so it wouldnt happen again, and the elastic was tight enough that I was seriously uncomfortable in my abdomen.The rest of the shorts themselves are great, soft and comfortable, but the waist is so bad, I will not be keeping them as I did not buy them to have to have them tailored, fixed or otherwise, have the elastic replaced. And it kinda defeats the purpose of why I purchased them... and being able to breath and not have stomach pains is a plus.If the manufacturer ever reads this.... You have a drawstring (secure it) and two, you have a drawstring.... you can afford to seriously lighten up and lengthen the elastic waistband... that is what drawstrings are for or revise your sizing guide for others who may want these.

These shorts are really soft and the length is halfway down my thigh, which is nice. The band is tight but not too tight. It may be uncomfortable If you have any type of Pudge. The drawstring could easily go into the holes so you will need to tie them some type of way and make the knot bigger than the hole to keep them out. I also think that the price could be a little lower for these. The three stars given is due to the price and the drawstring.
