This softbox package includes two diffusers and a honeycomb grid to reduce spill. You can use any combination of these modifiers since they are all attached independently using strong velcro. However, using all three simultaneously dramatically reduces the amount of light, and it may no longer be strong enough to be a key light in certain situations.To set up the softbox, I recommend placing it on the floor and pushing down until the ribs lock into place. If you do it by hand (one at a time, as instructed), it requires a good bit of strength. Also, it is not a really quick release. It takes effort to take the pressure off of each of the clips.If you want a softbox that is easy to transport, or you don’t have enough space in your studio for a larger modifier, this softbox is a good deal, considering how well-made it is.*UPDATE: I've now used this softbox on many shoots and bigger is definitely better. Although this is a well-made product (highest quality build), it simply isn't big enough to cast a soft, cinematic light. I would love to try some of Neewer's larger softboxes as I'm sure they would be fantastic based on how this one performs. The 65mm one, however, is only going to be a safety in my gig bag.

I recently picked up the NEEWER 65 cm (25.6 inches) Bowens Mount Parabolic Softbox, and I couldn’t be happier! The size is perfect for headshots — it provides just the right balance of soft, even lighting without being too bulky. The parabolic shape gives a beautiful, flattering light falloff, which makes skin tones look amazing and adds a subtle pop to my portraits.The standout feature for me is the quick release system. It makes setting up and breaking down the softbox incredibly fast and effortless. Compared to other softboxes I’ve used, like the Godox ones, this quick release design from NEEWER is much smoother and more convenient. When time is critical during shoots, this feature is a lifesaver.The build quality is solid, and the Bowens mount fits securely with my lights. It’s lightweight, durable, and easy to transport. For photographers who need a reliable, efficient, and high-quality softbox for headshots, this one is an absolute winner. Highly recommended!

I bought this to add to my in-home filming set up, and I have to say, it's a great product. Quality is great (as expected from NEEWER). I have tried some set ups with both the honeycomb insert and without, and I have to say, my preference is without. It gives less of a harsh, directional light and more of a softer look which is what I was going for.Great product and super compact if you need to travel with it anywhere.

I could see it was well made but I had to send it back. I could never manage to open it. I am a petite woman and my strength wasn't enough to open this thing. Even my husband struggled and had to try 3 times before he could do it fully.
