I have IOS and was able to link this display fairly quickly. You connect by bluetooth and by wireless and then use screen mirroring to make it display. There is also a wired connection that can be used with IOS only (shame it’s not just a USBC monitor) which seems short sighted in this day and age as this little display would have been really useful with say a raspberry pi or something like that.It does what it should, pairing via WiFi does of course disable your audio so you will have to select that again later if you want to play back your videos. The MagSafe part is purely a fixing device, no actual. Functionality through it.Battery life is Ok will give a few hours should that be needed and the buttons. On the top allow you to flip the display both in the horizontal and vertical axis. I’m not sure you gain a great deal from using it as the display at any distance is small and hard to make out for even the most basic of framing purposes. Closeup, yes you could take good selfies if that is your thing.I would personally just get a tracking tripod for all other vlogging purposes to stay in frame if required. At £60 + pounds it’s an expensive gadgets that I honestly cannot see myself finding use for all that much,it’s one of those niche products where if you need one it’s perfect but if you don’t really need it you can’t find a use for it if that makes sense.Ididchecksome of the functionality as other reviewers had mentioned it freezes when the recording starts, I ran this on IOS and android and didn’t see that. I did see a bit of a stutter when playing back the video i recorded, it also only displays on this rather than a true mirror when playing back on IOS. Odd because in apps like prime video for example it plays back. With no stutter and on both screens.So. The software is a bit bug loaded in places but overall it does a job.

First impressions are that this is going to be complicated to set up and use. The first half of the instruction manual is in Chinese and seems to be quite complicated. The second half is in English and it goes into a load of detail about setting up the selfie screen however it really couldnt be simpler. This isn’t a complaint by the way - I’d much rather have a detailed manual than a short/tiny manual that doesn’t help much - it’s just a warning that you shouldn’t be intimedated by the detailed manual. All you have to do is press the power button and select the language that you wish to work in. You only have to do this once! Next connect your phone to the wifi network that the Selfie Screen then creates (the wifi name and password is shown on the Selfie Screen) and then set your phone to Screen Mirroring. Thats it - you now can see everything that is displayed on your main phone screen duplicated on the Selfie Screen. The Selfie Screen is rechargeable and has a MagSafe panel on the rear that is designed to attach to the rear of your phone, and in doing so it gives you a screen on the rear of your phone.. which means that you can then use the rear facing camera (which is the better quality camera) and see what it can see on the Selfie Screen. it’s not a touch screen and so you can’t control your phone from the Selfie Screen .. it siimply does what it is designed to do.. which is to show you what the rear facing camera can see so that you can use it to make vlogs etc. It’s not quite as good quality as your iphone screen (a little bit lower resolution and a little bit cooler in colour).. but that’s not really a problem as you will do all the colour balance/focus etc settings on the main phone screen … this is just a monitor to show you what your camera is fliming - ie to show what is in-picture. And it does this really well.Using the wifi connection, I think that you would struggle to get it to work whilst you are doing some live broadcast stuff from your phone as you have to use the phones wifi to connect to the Selfie Screen .. but the Selfie Screen also has a cable-connect option (the USB C socket next to the USB C charging socket at the base of the unit) which then allows you to use your usual wifi connection. I found this to be the best and most reliable option as the Wifi connection did drop off once or twice if I stopped using the screen for several minutes. There is a Bluetooth connection option, but all that really does is allow you to use the red button at the top of the Selfie Screen to take photos or start/stop videos. And in addtion there is a mode button that changes the displayed screen aspect ratio a bit (ie - stretches a little to fill the Selfie Screen or replicates the proportions of your phone screen). There’s also a MagSafe magnetic sticker to place on the back of your phone if you don’t have a MagSafe phone - it’s just a self adhesive circle of metal. Finally you get a nice little bluetooth remote control button.. switch it on using the small button at the side, pair it with your phone and then it acts as a selfie button! If you make vlogs then there is everything here that you will need to make making them a little easier and better. It also helps to take really great selfies too - set up the Selfie Screen and the remote button, stand your camera somewhere steady and then move around until the photo looks good on the Selfie Screen and press the remote button to take your photo!

Having tested the King Ma Magnetic Phone Vlog Selfie Monitor Screen, I found it to be a clever concept that offers some benefits for mobile content creators, though it falls short of a perfect execution.Key Features:Magnetic Attachment: The MagSafe compatibility provides a secure and straightforward attachment to compatible iPhones.Wired 4K 30FPS Recording: The ability to monitor your back camera feed in high resolution is a definite plus for quality vlogs and live streams.Compact and Portable: The small size makes it easy to carry around as part of your mobile setup.Areas for Improvement:Screen Visibility: In bright outdoor conditions, the screen can be quite difficult to see clearly, hindering accurate monitoring.Battery Life: The screen's battery life felt somewhat limited during extended recording sessions, requiring careful power management.Mounting Stability: While the magnetic attachment is convenient, I did experience occasional slight wobbling of the screen during movement.Overall:The King Ma Magnetic Vlog Selfie Monitor Screen presents an innovative solution for iPhone-based vloggers and live streamers wanting to utilise their phone's superior rear camera. While the wired 4K monitoring and portability are significant advantages, the screen visibility in bright light and battery life limitations prevent it from being a truly seamless experience. It's a promising product that could benefit from further refinement.

What a great idea this is for a small home studio and for up and coming youtubers to help improve the quality of their video composition. It allows you to use the superior rear cameras whilst being able to view what exactly is being captured more easily on the 4 inch screen. It loses a star because I couldn't get it to work with my Samsung Galaxy Flip 6 for some reason but it worked perfectly with my Zenfone 10 and my Xiaomi 14 despite using the same screen cast/mirroring function on all these phones so I don't think it's user error.

I tested this using an android device (which yes it does also work for despite the title not stating as such). I don't take selfies instead wanted to test this as a general viewfinder. This product is essentially a small wireless screen with air-cast (for apple) and miracast (for android) and Bluetooth to be able to use the camera button on it. For that it is quite nifty, and works OK. The resolution isn't great and so when casting my phone to the screen (which was relatively easy, just turn on the screen, select your language and then it's in pairing mode, then on your phone cast to it using smart view if it's a Samsung etc), the resolution was a bit odd because its quite square meaning there are some black bars, that's fine overall however as it did work in mirroring the screen fully when using the camera and recording a video. The Bluetooth functionality to use the camera button worked too (they even provide a separate Bluetooth remote which is a nice touch). The battery life is decent enough for a few hours of casting and charges easily through USB-C.So overall depending on what you need this for, can be useful, it works great for me becauseI needed a small screen to cast to from my android. Testing it for selfies using the mag-safe (I have a mag-safe case) it did work too for my Samsung. So overall, at least for android, can say it works (albeit low resolution) and can recommend in general. One star deducted for the price which is slightly steep, currently there is a voucher but not sure how long that will last, and the screen resolution being quite low.
