I bought this for squaring up my quilt block. I had to trim 400 2.5 x 2.5 squares and this was a lifesaver. This is durable enough to use with my rotary cutter and easily rotates around for use with the scalloped edge. This might be my new favorite tool!

I am just starting to learn and build my own watches and I needed a clean, "hard" surface for small parts, etc. These are obviously the benchmark for quality. Top notch.

The size of the mat is convenient for small project. I did find it hard to rotate the mat.

I bought the mat to replace two 24x36 Olfa mats. I have an approx. 40x50 sewing table for quilting etc. The two mats were always slipping and trying to cut fabric over the point they met was not very successful. The cutter skipped at the joint they met. This mat resolved that. I like the overall size, but like others have said, I wish the work surface area was a true 36x48. It is undersized by one inch for a 35x47 work area. Not a big deal but just wish... The thickness is very nice. it stays put on the work surface. I like that the measurements are run both ways. I'm left handed so often measure from right to left as well as cut the same so having numbers go in either direction is a benefit to me. I also like the dark green color. The gold numbers and grid lines stand out more on this darker color. I don't miss the grid lines throughout the mat as this is something I didn't really use. I square to my rulers not the lines on the mat. Good mat for the cost and seems like it will hold its quality for many years to come.

Works great for squaring off blocks on my homemade turntable table I made for my sewing room. I am able to spin the table without lifting the cutting mat or ruler so this smaller size works great.
