I thought I was ordering a 5.5 in women's shoes, but it's actually in men's size - so they're more like a size 7 in women's shoes. Aside from that, they look like they would work well for water activities. They don't seem to have much of a cushion inside the shoe and the upper is rubbery and thin. So maybe that's a good shoe for "outdoor shoes"? I do like the sole, it's rugged and has a lot of traction and the color combos are sporty looking. HOPE THIS HELPS!

I ordered these shoes and ended up with the men size instead of women. I reviewed and stated the problem, and returned the shoes. Immediately received a message from Ivy, the customer care representative. She took my information, and today I received a beautiful, my size, pair of the NORTIV 8 Barefoot Water Shoes. I am so appreciative. I love the shoes, they feel and look great. Thank Ivy and the company for the wonderful concern and service (it is rare these days)!

There's nothing wrong with most of the ad verbiage, for it's generally accurate. Expect thin soles, suitable use in water and wet areas, non-slip bottoms, and an okay skin feel without socks.BUT, the soles are so thin they're not suitable for the stated "nature walks" use. I have plantar fasciitis, and just wearing them for less than a hundred feet caused it to start up. Wearing these out in nature would risk causing an injury because the soles are so thin they'd be too easy to puncture with a rock, stiff twig, piece of broken glass, etc.Note that the soles when viewed from the side suggest that they're thicker than they are when you put them on. Put differently, the foot well inside goes down into the rubber sole, kind of as if the rubber sole's a boat, and your foot's the cargo. So while the sole appears thick enough for "nature walks" from the side, in actuality, it would be risky.I like the looks of these, and for somebody without foot problems and who doesn't need them for more than water park use, they're probably suitable. For the price, though (about $43 in February 2025), they should either (a) provide enough sole to make them outdoor-safe, as claimed, or (b) remove that claim from the ad.I always mark down to 3 at most any time I feel the verbiage presents an inaccurate picture, so 3 it is.
