I got this for my short bed ram 1500 and it fits great.I had a bit of a problem with my switchback bed cover getting in the way but I figured out a way to work around it.I do have to leave the tailgate open which is no big deal. Also the bed air mattress i got fits inside it too which is great!I needed one of these back in high school!

Solid tent that works well with an F-150 XLT -- drop the tailgate, toss in a air mattress and you'll be set. Good quality material. Easy to set up in no time, and a decent alternative to a regular tent - or useful in an emergency. Take down is just as easy and the bag is large enough to make putting the tent up simple. Would recommend!

I installed with with my folding tonneau cover on the truck. The cover pushed the tent toward the back about 6 inches. It would have fit better with the cover removed. The set up and take down is easy and straightforward. One of the poles was a little too long which caused it to bow. I will probably shorten it so it fits better. The screens are on the outside of the tent windows and doors instead of on the inside like other tents I have used. The instructions are included in the zippered storage case. This tent covers the bed and the tailgate so a 6+ foot tall person can sleep inside a 5.5 foot truck bed.I used a sheet of oriented strand board to make the bed flatter. The rain fly is heavy duty but it doesn't cover the door area.

This truck canopy tent works so good especially when combined with an air mattress. Sleeping at night outside when camping always feels unnecessarily vulnerable when you drove a vehicle to the campsite that is more stable and secure then a tent on the ground but it just wasn't designed for a truck. Truck beds have long been used to camp in and of course there is those hardshell campers but they are very hard to find in the right color and size for my older truck. This tent fits comfortably in my truck bed and allows for more vertical head room then a hardshell camper. It is made out of oxford material and has an extra rain cover over the top in case of monsoons and plenty windows with mosquito netting.Easy to set up and take down, takes about 15 min, then stows away as a small bundle. I have a 6 foot truck bed and it sits in perfectly and you can even put the tailgate up for extra security from nosy animals. The only thing it don't do is connect to the back sliding truck window like a hardshell camper so you can't access the truck without getting out of the tent. And I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to drive with it since technically you are supposed to tie it around the rims of the truck, but I think just kind of moving to another part of the campsite is probably do-able but windspeeds of a freeway would probably destroy it. The image of someone driving with one of these on the freeway would make for a great movie but if you're going to do something crazy I'd rather you attach a helium balloon to the tent and re-enact the movie "Up". Just make sure you pack warm clothes, the Steppe Plateau's of South America can get cold at night. This tent has a good amount of space inside, nice green color, top windows for light, side windows for viewing, oxford cloth rain cover, storage compartments on inside, 360* tie downs, nylon material, decent zippers, top hook for a light and fully closes for privacy. The price has actually come down from $99 which is what it used to cost a few years ago when I was thinking about getting it back then. So no reason not to pick one up now that it's a little less money.
