This ocarina looks stunning. Beautiful, bright blue color, shiny without any flaws that I can see.It feels really good to hold in your hand.It has a nice sound. And it is relatively in tune, it is slightly sharp or flat for some notes, but this is my first ocarina, so maybe its me not blocking the hole completely or something.I am very happy with it.

Coming in around $30, this is definitely not a professional quality instrument, so takes a bit of practice to create consistently clean, tuned notes, but has a very pretty sound. The ceramic is heavier than I expected, but it feels really nice in the hands.

Definitivamente no es una ocarina profesional, pero cumple bien para el precio: está bien afinada, el diseño es muy bonito, pero requiere más aire de lo usual por lo que es complicada para un principiante. La compré por el diseño, me gustó y realmente no tiene mal sonido.

El color es hermoso, tiene un buen sonido, con práctica será increíble. El estuche si la protege, la correa no la uso en el cuello pero si la aseguro en mi mano. Me encanta.

This Ocarina is top notch! It's clear and in tune. Once you learn the scales, you'll want to read sheet music instead of fingering tabs. My only gripe is that the texture of this particular ocarina makes it hard to find the keys when you're just starting out. However, once you learn your instrument you can easily distinguish the texture from the finger holes.I've had this for about a month now, and I've learned three songs on it already. Let me tell you right now, this ocarina is naturally LOUD. Do not purchase if you're in an apartment where your neighbors are going to care if you practice. I played one of my songs out in the Southern Smokey Mountains as a memorial to a friend of mine who passed, it resonated beautifully off the landscape and made goosebumps rise on my arms. Breathtaking. it's an excellent ocarina.Tone: Clear, Crisp, not AiryColor: Gorgeous, please keep in mind that since each are these are hand glazed, the results will naturally vary as firing processes on clay is always somewhat unpredictable. I see a few imperfections, but to me they only make the piece more beautiful.Ease to play: Beginner to Intermediate. I've played music for seven years but not in the Key of C, and never an ocarina. Super easy to pick up, and I don't think it would be discouraging to those new to music either.I would recommend to a friend, hands down, and would buy this product again.

The "Ocean Wave" Ocarina by OcarinaWind is wonderful!I received my ocarina (with a protective pouch and "songbook") on time and in good condition. The finish of mine is not as "crackled" as the one in the picture, but I understand that natural variations will occur. It also isn't as deep a blue as the one pictured, but it is still a beautiful piece and a wonderful instrument. I should also note that mine also has a tiny dark fleck (on the throat) in the finish, but it's hardly even noticeable. The voice is a beautiful perfect earthy flute sound - just as an ocarina should be.Upon testing this particular ceramic glazed ocarina, I found that the notes were true (including the sharps), even when played pianissimo (softly). The surface has a smooth-dented "coral texture"* which adds the benefits of an easier to grip surface with the perk of still being easy to clean. The holes all have groove indentations around them for easier gripping & playing, plus you can easily slide you fingers forward to play sharps along the groves instead of having to awkwardly reposition your fingers. The hole placement for the safety strap (strap was not included) is perfectly designed to not interfere with your playing or the wind movement in the throat of the instrument.The "songbook" was a couple of stapled-together pages folded up into quarters to fit in the box, which was about what I expected. Some of them were hard to read (printed smaller), but the information is all still there.
