This stereo receiver was a bit of a challenge to get hooked up to wifi due to a lack of clear instructions, but now that it has been, it's fabulous. Crystal clear sound and plenty of power. The controls (phone app and remote) are very easy to use, but those on the receiver are rather hard to see. Very happy with the whole thing.

Too good to be true.Not just for vinyls, sounds even great with CDs.Always been a fan of Onkyo.I also bought a Denon integrated amp a month ago, however it pales when compared to Onkyo. With volume set to 80, the Onkyo amp still delivers clear, crisp and distinct sound, with no distortion at all.Grabbed one when 200 USD was slashed from its original price, last December 2024

Me gustó mucho el sonido. Suena muy bien con mis bocinas B&W. Es un sonido equilibrado, brillante y nitido. Llegó bien empaquetado y funciona a la perfección. Recomendado

Bought this to replace an ancient Kenwood amp that I ran for 22 years.Out of the box the TX-8470 has a bright, almost harsh sound. Highs are crisp and detailed. Things become muddled at lower volumes, though, so you’ll want to crank it loud. And that bright sound, at sustained high volumes, leads to ear fatigue. This is where the weakness of the tone controls makes itself known. Treble doesn’t scale proportionally, forcing continual adjustment. The Bass knob appears to be a placebo; I tested it with everything from Led Zeppelin to Gang Starr and found almost no effect.The solution is to exit the default “stereo” mode in favor of “direct” or “pure sound,” both of which bypass the tone control circuits. This gets rid of the harshness in favor of a nice warm sound that facilitates sustained listening at moderate volumes. Then when you do need the power, this thing’s ready.Onkyo doesn’t include a full manual, instead nudging you to download the “Onkyo Controller” app. Do not do this. Download the full manual, connect to WiFi manually, and go through all your firmware updates before you try to deal with getting the app to work.

Ich bin von meinem Denon Heimkino System, wieder auf Stereo gewechselt. Der neue Onkyo Stereo Receiver TX 8470 ist einfach klasse. Das Musikerlebnis mit meinen Quadral Chromium 6 Standlautsprechern ist jetzt Weltklasse, die Anlage spielt in einer anderen Liga, danke Onkyo, weiter so.

Er macht was er soll und mehr "the yellow from the egg" sozusagen. Sehr viele Anschlussmöglichkeiten, aber von den Funktionen her nicht überladen. Für mich war vor allem HDMI ARC wichtig.

Es un receptor de dos canales que cumple con creces su propósito. La música se escucha con altísima calidad y la potencia de sus canales son extraordinarios. En mi caso lo conecté a unas bocinas Polk de 200w y wow … retumbó la sala de música.Ademas está más que listo para conectar la tornamesa y que se escuche increíble! Fue la Razo por la que lo compre.También cuenta con conexión AirPlay, Bluetooth, etc.
