This AV receiver is the best I've had by a long shot and I've had several. Audio separation is best in class with power and dynamic range to spare.

This provided a needed upgrade to my last Onkyo receiver. It has a more robust sound. It decodes the more recent sound programs like Dolby Atmos. I'm using all 11.1 speakers. The speakers are older but the sound quality is much improved and better balanced. A very satisfying purchase.

Best sound quality receiver I've ever owned/heard. Build quality is top notch. Amps are badass. Says 140wpc, but you get more like 170wpc 2 channels driven. Weighs 50lb. Setup was easy and Earc works... sort of. Sometimes when I turn on the TV it doesn't detect sound from the Samsung TV app, but I mostly use it for my PC and that always works and I know all the receivers have issues with earc so I'm not too annoyed. It also had issues setting up Zone 2(spent hours researching, trying different settings, hdmi cords/slots, contacting support, etc) and both my TVs couldn't detect the receiver, so I gave up. Didn't really need that aspect anyway and just set up another sound processor I had in that room. I couldn't complain much. This is a $3000+ receiver quality and I got it for $1800.

My Onkyo TX-SR876, that was 15 years old, finally started having issues so I replaced it with the Onkyo TX-RZ70. At first I missed the Audessy room correction but after using the included Dirac room correction and tweaking it a little the sound is so incredible I have no regrets.The only other concern was the old 876 had front wide speakers and this new one instead has back heights for Atmos. The amazing thing is I still hear sound coming from the same place as the missing wides as the sound stage is vastly superior. It took a little work to place the rear heights but this new reciever sounds so incredible I have been speding hours just listening to all my music as I hear things I have never heard before, in songs I have listened to hundreds of times. The sound is so precise, clear and clean.Lastly now I almost refuse to watch any movies not in Atmos. I had read that Atmos really brought the theater sound home and it is no exageration. Wow movies sound better than the theater, I can never go back. The sounds form a "Bubble" around me and come from everywhere.Audio Advice has many great videos on Youtube helping me to choose this product and had a great price as well. It shipped fast and in perfect condition.
