Got this to mount on a mic stand for my Novation Bass Station II, and it works perfectly. Nice and heavy, and very stable. Would also work great a stand for medium-heavy studio monitors like NS-10's or Mackie HR824's. Overall stability will of course be dependent on the mic stand quality that you use.

The plastic is so cheap, you can't even unwind the cord, with out the whole thing popping apart. It won't hold cords that are large enough to need cable storage, and you have to hold the entire thing closed tightly while you wind cords, or they will pop out.Do not buy.

I was tying up a lot of my more expensive self winding reels on cords that don't get pulled in and out. These fit the bill perfectly. My cords are neat and out of sight. Also, a great price performer compared to my self winding reels.

I like the idea and they worked ok. Did not work well if the cable was braided or too long. Seemed kind of cheaply made but they were inexpensive.

Made of ultra-cheap soft and malleable plastic, these don't hold together and pop open at the slightest handling when in use.

These organizers cannot accommodate cord lobe than 3 feet. They also are infuriatingly difficult to use with braided cords. And ultimately I would never use these again because even with a 3 foot standard cord, the winder completely cracked and separated from the spool on the 3rd use. Great idea, poor execution.

I use this steel plate on a simple microphone stand as a platform for a projector or a second pc monitor. The weighted base of the stand keeps the platform from being tippy. There are a pair of rubber tracks on top of the panel, which keeps anything placed on it from sliding around. It requires minimal assembly - a mic stand adapter bolts on (parts included). Also works with a camera tripod. I may get a second one and use them as speaker stands. Very portable. Unscrew the connector and fold up your stand. I wouldn't put anything heavy on it, like a PA speaker, but I keep it in my kit for playing music to hold a mixer or my guitar stuff - tuner, picks, a cold beverage. A useful addition, especially if you already have a spare mic stand. It mounts parallel to the stand base, so it isn't recommended on a boom arm, although you could probably use it that way for a tablet. The steel is study. The black finish is clean and even and there were no sharp edges or burrs. Definitely recommended as a helpful bit of kit.

In may social circle just about all my buddies have at least one mic stand lying around. Wished i'd bought more than one when the shipping was free. I'll still get another at a later date. Makes good monitor stands , drum machine stands , Groovebox stand , Speaker stand etc. I use it to eat my dinner off of every day.

Fit on my mic stand perfectly (5/8'' thread)... now holds my studio monitor/speaker. The high density foam padding on the metal base/plate seems to be good quality as well. Arrived quickly & was securely packaged as well. Thanks!
