Funcionó para un disco de 3.5" de 8TB, había probado otros docks pero sólo detectaban los primeros 2TB, con esta estación el sistema operativo detectó el disco completo sin problemas; sólo fue necesario conectar y el sistema lo detectó.

I've only had it for 8 hours but it's working great so far. I've tried it with about a dozen hard drives transferring data solely between the drives in this enclosure. I've probably transferred and deleted about 15TB of data so far without any issues with any of the hard drives that I have used. My only knock and it would be the same for any enclosure with spinning disks is that the drives get pretty warm. Since it is an open air system, I just point a small fan at the drives and life is good.I've owned several 2 drive enclosures from Orico and they have all worked well for me. The oldest enclosure that this new one replaced was 4 years old. No issues other than it only holds 2 drives. The intended use of this unit is to keep 2 drives in constantly with the 2 other slots being used as needed. This particular model is an improvement over the the 2 slot one since the power switch is on the top right as opposed to the back of the 2 slot version. I also like the drive access lights that represent each of the drives inserted in the system.

This device is fantastic. Not only is the build quality great (Some other versions can be quite flimsy) but I've managed to get HDD's recognized with this version that other caddies would simply ignore or recognize as RAW devices. It's great for cloning drives and does exactly what it advertises.

I have a lot of stuff to back up. I had been using external drives, but I recently heard that the security scheme in drives (at least those advertised with built-in encryption) renders the drive unreadable if the enclosure fails, even if *you think* you aren't using encryption. Doesn't sound too good. So, I decided I would start switching over to loose 3.5 in drives along with this thing (and and put them in my safe deposit box. This thing worked perfectly with my 8TB WD Red drive. It seemed about as fast as having it hooked up directly to SATA (when I finally got it plugged into a USB 3 port). It was even transparent to WD Data Lifeguard Tools. No drivers were required, and it has a power switch, which is nice.I just got it, so I can't speak for longevity, but it has some heft to it. It certainly feels well-built. The only complaint I have is there is a cut-out for 2.5" drives that has no dust cover, and it is right over the power and SATA connectors. You might want to fashion a dust cover if your environment is dusty and you plan on leaving it unloaded for any amount of time. This thing is works great, seems sturdy, and the price is right. Other reviews have commented that the company is responsive too, but I didn't have a reason to contact them. Overall, highly recommended.

So my PC HDD has been acting up (it's 2006 HP with 320gb Seagate 3.5"). Considering its age and the fact that I use it EVERYDAY, it's been good to me so far. The tell-tale signs of HDD issues are extra noise, frequent HANG UP (aka DEATH BLUE screen with FROZEN everything where the only remedy was to unplug the power and reboot), slow responses. . . I've been guilty of not backing up data too. So I got a couple of 320gb HDD and this unit. The cloning process was a breeze (well except the fact that I accidentally used the FULL format instead of quick format which too extra time unnecessarily! That's entirely my fault). All new HDD needs to be formated (the unit comes with instruction to how to do that - CHOOSE quick format!) first. Once formated, it's just a simple matter of plugging the NEW (empty) in proper slot (double, triple check this!! you don't want the original to go into the clone slot - you will end up with 2 completely BLANK hdds!!) and put the original in proper slot. My 320gb took a bit over 1 hour to copy. I put the new cloned drive into my computer and it booted up with NO problem at all. I'm keeping the original HDD as my back up for now. I will also continue to back up the new HDD onto my other HDD I bought, so I will end up with 3 copies of the SAME thing. This unit also works as a HUGE memory stick (like a SD card) when you plug in the HDD and connect via USB. I've done that too.Overall, it works well. I'm just hoping that I can get 9 plus years out of it like my PC. . . We shall see
