First of all, I don't use these for the intended purpose of adding an additional grip position, instead I use them more as a bash guard for my hands. The construction is solid, but not perfect. Someone else complained that they were not symmetrical to each other. I found mine to be close enough, that I would never notice the difference while shooting down the bobsled. The only thing I didn't like about them is that the distal end was not squared off, but being as they are aluminum, it was only twenty seconds work with a disc sander to true them up. The colored aluminum end caps were a separate purchase and NOT included with the barends. The barends come with black rubber, push-in, end caps.Photo 1. The barend on the right is stock, and the barend on the left is after I squared off the end.Photo 2. The disc sander makes quick work of the aluminum tube.Photo 3. The end after I've ground it square. I only took off enough material for the entire end to match, which is why some paint is still visible.Photo 4. Completed barend "hockey stick wrapped" with black athletic tape, and installed on one of my MTBs.

I'm 6'3" 210lbs and these ends are exactly what I needed. They are not too long nor are they too short. I took them on a trial sprint through the neighborhood and I noticed an immediate difference. Whether seated or standing, the ends put me in a more forward position on the bike, shifting my weight onto the front wheel, which will make climbing all that much easier. I also noticed that while seated, my form was more "aero" which will make riding against the wind easier.I covered the ends and the handlebar with origin8 Cork handlebar tape. This was my first time using tape, so it isn't pretty, but it does the job. I moved my gear shifter and brakes to the center to allow more room for hand placement. This worked out better for me because I like my arms closer to my body when seated. I normally rode with my hands resting on the brake shifter's mount to keep them close.Hope this helps with your decision.

Just what the 'doctor' ordered. I have a Trek hybrid and ride approx. 15-20 miles on each outing, mainly on dedicated bike path, but also in traffic. I ride for fitness and go all out. I had been feeling some pain in my wrists from always being in the same position, to the point where, for relief, I began to sometimes hold the ends of the bars with my palms vertical. But this is dangerous, of course. After some research, I ordered the ProPulsion bar ends. They arrived promptly and installed fairly easily. I did have to cut a round hole in the ends of the factory grips and move the grips inboard about 3/4 inch to accommodate the bar ends, but this was expected. (I used the alcohol and hairspray method for the grips. Look it up; it works.)The bar ends are very comfortable and solved my wrist issue well. In traffic or when pedestrians are nearby, I use the factory grips. When the path ahead is clear, I switched to the bar ends. The shape is perfect for support and comfort. The bare metal is very hard though, so I have wrapped them with a few layers of 'Ninja tape' which adheres to itself without adhesive. Love my bar ends!Since adding the bar ends, the wrist pain has stopped, and I have added 3-4 miles to my regular circuit.

Quality product. Does not come loose after installation. Adds another resting position, even for long flat rides. Really helps while pumping uphills. I thought it might catch on lots of brush & branches, but this was not an issue during my 30+ mile mountain biking weekend.Does not come with instructions. You will need a hex wrench. Make sure to mount so the bent ends point in (not out away from the bike.) Just check online for pictures to see the approximated mounting position. You can adjust it later to personalize the final angle.Because it mounts at the end of the handle bars, it narrows your grip width/length. You can compensate by moving your brake & derailer levers in towards the center.
