It's merely phosphoric acid. I've used naval jelly in the past and it works fine and it's the same thing except in a slime form. So I know this product will work for light surface rust.

I'm on my 2nd bottle of this, I'm doing a full body restoration of a car that wad winter driven, this stuffs amazing, wire brush the rust down n spray this on it, it'll turn black n kill the rust, wire brush again n then seal the body, 10/10, gonna use it in my ol man's truck next
