Just got back from a 10-day trip to Argentina. Took only this and another small "personal item" backpack. This thing worked great. LOTS of room. I had plenty to put extra things in for my wife (haha).I wish it had a hip belt or strap; that would make it a little better, BUT it didn't say it did; and really, having 22# doesn't need it - and it would probably be in the way more than it would help with this.

I use the Osprey backpack to travel to Bangkok, Thailand. The Osprey backpack is compact. I just meet the airlines weight limit for my carryon baggage. I think the weight is about 15 lbs/7 kg. I traveled with Korean Air and Thai VietJet Air. In past Thai VietJet Air checked my Osprey backpack for weight. But the last trip my Osprey backpack was not check. I got Thai VietJet Air ticket at the Bangkok Airport ATM machine to travel to Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Very good quality as expected from Osprey. Comfortable on the back specially for long walks in and around. Can be opened like a suitcase which is very convenient in small spaces like in Japan. Need to buy separate lock should you need to check in as luggage.

I love this bag. Even on the small aircraft the bag easily slides into the overhead bins. I have consistently been able to roll up two weeks worth of clothes and put in bag and carry on the road with me. Going to purchase for my husband for Christmas.
