As usual a high quality product from Osprey here. I picked out the XS to use with my smaller day bag that I take on hikes or when I'm walking around exploring a new place. I've often worried that a downpour could catch me off guard and my pack isn't waterproof on its own. I'd like to avoid having my electronics and journal ruined.I wouldn't exactly call this lightweight, however. Considering its size, it's quite hefty. A small price to pay for the peace of mind it affords in quality of construction. It nearly packs into its own little pouch. Some packs actually have a zipper pocket at the base that is made to hold these rain covers. If my pack had such a pocket, I would remove the pouch from this cover to further reduce the weight and bulk. But, as is, it's easy to just toss in or remove from my pack depending on the environment I'm in and the weather forecast for the day.For info, the pack I'm using my XS cover with is the Arc'teryx Aerios 15 and the fit is perfect with room to spare. I will probably snag the S size for my laptop backpack, too.

This fits perfectly over my Osprey Tempest 11 pack. Thick, sturdy cover material, snug elastic fitting, bright color for visibility. Folds down small into the attached pouch, although it does take some work to get it in there.

There's nothing inherently wrong with this cover. It folds into its own pocket easily enough, is bright, has a drain port, cinch cord, and even allows for the attachment of bike light. Even better, it perfectly fights a Daylite Plus (a 20l bag). The downside is the material isn't as soft as others such as REI's Duck's rain cover, so it will look very crinkly and not nearly as smooth as the promotional photo. Still, it's a rain cover that's bright, fits, and does the job.
