You want a blade You can carry and count on to do whatever you want to do, my friends if you can't do it with this knife then you shouldn't own knives at all, it's sharp, has a nice feel in your hands, for a knife this size for me it's well balanced but I have big hands, love the bone handle, the blade itself looks great, the sheath I received at least is excellent nice tight fit handle strap locks tight no wiggling around, no worries about losing your blade, cause I'm carrying mine on my belt in the back horizontally, so it don't interfere with my pistol. I'm gonna hit it a few licks so you can shave with it and then see how well it holds the edge but I'm pretty sure it's gonna be just fine.. I have a LOT of knives and I think this is a legitimate keeper!!!

This product is great. I myself own numerous tracker knives.Poshland.White Hills.Utah Knife Works(yes. I'm about to say it. The original Tracker designers,NOT Tom Brown the design thief-still a solid knife)I love all of my tools. However. The craft and care with Ottoza is premium. This tool/knife is pristine. It has its imperfections like any other hand-made product, but nothing that would ever hinder the performance. This is real damascus. When done using it. Clean it. Dry it. Oil it. Lock that process in your head.It came sharp out of the box. Not razor sharp, but good and sharp. Trust me.The sheath for it its great. There no complaints. Well made. Pretty.I cant wait till theres dust and wear on it.To people who are seeing this review and trying to decide if you want it.This is a good knife. I paid 120 for one of my trackers. 200 for another. The only differences i see in all of these prices and knives is the damascus patterns are different. Materials are different on the handles. The 200 one isn't damascus. You can pay all the money in the world. This is the only one I'll come back to. Its pretty. Its strong. I feel the dependability just holding it. Craftsmanship is 100%.Every different detail to all these knives i own stripped away... theres really not a difference to them. They're tools. And quite frankly. I feel more confident using this knife than my others. If I take care of this knife. Take care of a 200 or 300$ knife. Im gonna have the same knife. You will to. This knife will work for you and care for you if you take care of it. Same rule applies to any other knife. This is great quality people.Dont let people tell you any different.I'll be buying different models from these guys from here on. You should too.

I purchased this knife because I was looking for a tough, heavy duty knife with a good sheath. I love the tracker style, and already own Tom Browns trackers, but at that price point, I dont want to beat them up. Both the knife and the sheath exceeded my expectations, by a large margin. The knife is well balanced, has good weight to it, and although it arrived sharp, I had no issues taking it to a whetstone and making it razor sharp. After a few minutes finishing on the leather strop it was slicing paper better than most of my other knives. I've been whittling with it at night and it goes through the wood like butter. The handle is stunning. The blade gets a lot of attention because it is beautiful, but you can't ignore the handle. The bone is smoothed out and dense. With the full tang running through it, it feels incredibly sturdy, and amazing in the hand. The blade is sharp, and real Damascas. The bevel was a little wide for my taste, so I tapered it down without too much effort, and it got incredibly sharp. The steel is 15N20 & 1095 folded. Not the most fancy of steels but more than up to the task.My hardness test on the blade that I received was 58rc. More than respectable and better than I was expecting! So far I've had no problems whittling, splitting wood, batoning, and after I sharpened and thinned the bevel, no problems feathering a stick. This isn't the most fancy or high end of Damascas, but if you grind the pattern down and re-etch it comes back strong. For the price point you get a lot of knife here, and a gorgeous soft leather horizontal sheath. You won't find a better sheath for this price alone. To the guy above in the reviews who rusted his knife hiking, and complained about it....This isn't stainless steel, it's Damascas. If you get it wet or wash the blade, you need to dry the blade and re oil it. Doesn't have to be fancy oil, vegetable oil or wd40 is perfect. Wipe off the excess and you're good to go. Basic Damascas 101.Regardless, if you know knives and are looking for a gorgeous, solid, durable tracker, you won't beat this Ottoza, at this price point. Sharpen it, look after it and it will look after you.
