Los materiales son muy buenos, yo tengo un labrador de 41 kg y le queda perfecto, le da una gran libertad de movimiento. Es una compra obligada para aquellos que desean llevar a sus perros a nadar de vez en cuando.

When we purchased our new-to-us canoe last month, we read several reviews on dog life jackets, and the Outward Hound came in at #2 on most sites. At a much lower cost than the top jacket, we decided to give Outward Hound a go, considering we have had quality products from them in the past.Definitely Size Up, as the size descriptions online are a bit misleading. I ordered the Extra Large Size for our 75 pound Rhodesian Ridgebacks, and am glad I sized up from the suggested Large SizeThe Coat is made from dense foam, and is very bright and reflective. The material is well sewn with even edges, and the straps are amazingly strong! Husband is able to lift our dogs in and out of our canoe just by lifting from the back grab handles! We did this twice a day for 4 days straight with each dog, and the straps remain fully intact without any pulling of the threads or snugness of the straps. Our dogs are deep chested, so the coat fits okay – I will be sewing on additional Velcro to where the jacket flap goes underneath the belly so it stays flat and tight at the closing edge. I assume these were made with more rectangular dog frames instead of deep chested dogs, hence the floppiness of the jacket flap.I also need to sew in an additional piece of Velcro at the front neck part. The foam covered section at the neck pops out, and there is no way to keep it from popping up.Once I wrapped the jacket around the dogs a few times, it was much easier and quicker to put it on them the first attempt. The bottom flap is 4 lengths of Velcro on the Neoprene, and there is definitely a technique as to which side you stand on in order to have the flap lay flat – otherwise it is uneven or lumpy. It goes on similar to a Thunder Shirt. The buckles are good quality and easy to snap in. There is a lot of extra strap once the boys are tightened in, but it does not seem to hinder their swimming ability. Our one pup likes to jump in the water randomly, but they were not really built for swimming, so he wore the jacket while we were on the dock fishing and he was exploring. He actually swam further out than normal once he realized he was not going to sink. It definitely holds his weight, and I feel much better in case they jump out of the canoe in the middle of the lake!Drying the coat in the sun takes a few hours, and then it’s ready to go again! We will definitely be getting a second one so both pups can cause chaos in the canoe safely!
