I camp a lot. I have a tent and several awnings. I buy reflective paracord in bulk and keep a couple bags of these around so I can rig up as many guy lines as I need. Excellent and easy to use.

I would recommend.I purchased these to pair with replacement 2mm guy line, for my backpacking tent. I've only had them on one backpacking trip, but they worked well for so far. Only time will tell if they hold up, but I am expecting them to last for a long while.

These will not fit most of the guy lines I have. You'd have a hard time getting a shoe lace through. Also makes me concerned about durability.

The images don't show how it works. That shark-fin shape is a grooved notch. Cord gets pulled into the ridges to enhance the hold.I fed the running end through the "long" side hole, across the ridges, and then pulled a loop down through the hole where the product illustration shows the knot. I tied a knot that lies in the same place as the illustration. That configuration gives the little thing an additional edge to bite the rope. I wouldn't bother with the illustrated configuration.

I love glow in the dark stuff. This glows in the dark. I love shaving weight from my outdoor kit, and want to use highly reflective micro cord to replace lines anywhere I can. My cord is 1.8mm diameter - as advertised and measured with micrometer. These tensioners claim to be for cords between 1 and 2mm.These tensioners DO NOT WORK for cords that are 1.8mm. The holes are too big (not impossible to overcome) and the grip-slot is too wide for this cord (basically impossible to overcome). There is absolutely no way these would work with even smaller cords. I'd imagine that you'd need to get up to about 3mm before these provided enough friction to hold tension.While I like these enough for what they are, they ARE NOT AS ADVERTISED. This is why the 1 star. I hate it when vendors mislead buyers.
