These are taller, but have a small footprint. Easy to pour, but the air/liquid exchange is not so quick, but you can take the top off if you need to pour quicker. I wasn't really sure about these bamboo lids, which was my biggest hesitation. The last bottles I had with bamboo lids made the water smell and taste like polyurethane from the finish on the wood. So the finish that would come directly into contact with the water is SS which is the underside of the lid. Filling a pitcher and pouring from it within an hour did not make the water smell or taste off because of the lid. If leaving this full overnight with water and then pouring, the water does taste and smell like the finish on the bamboo lid. I can't use these with the bamboo lids.I have other glass pitchers that came with 100% SS lids. Even though my other pitchers look larger and have different shapes to the glass, the SS lids fit perfectly in these pitchers. I am now ordering replacement lids for these and throwing away these bamboo lids. Never again with bamboo!
