I purchased the 2-pack of these Calvana puzzle frames to display some of my completed puzzles, and I couldn't be happier! The frames are sturdy and have a sleek black finish that looks great in my living room. The no-glare design is a big plus, allowing me to enjoy the artwork without any reflections. The assembly was straightforward, and I appreciated the mounting and hanging accessories included. They fit my 1000-piece puzzles perfectly and are easy to hang. Highly recommend these frames for puzzle lovers!

This is a sturdy puzzle frame with a wide 7/8in (2.3cm) border. There are 2 frames in this order, and each frame came in four L-shape pieces which means there is a joint at the middle of each of the 4 sides of the frame. It isn’t terribly obvious, but just be aware of that (see pictures). The frame is black matted and is made with strong plastic, and the hardware to hang up the frame is provided. There are several things I don’t like about the frame: There is no glass or clear plastic provided to cover the puzzle; actually you can’t even buy one if you wanted to because there is no lip to hold the glass in. Another thing I don’t like is you have a apply puzzle glue to the back of the puzzle to adhere it to the included black chipboard backing which is made from composite wood and it came folded so you have to lay it flat to smooth out the folds. Also once the puzzle is glued to the backing, you have to use double sticky tape to glue the puzzle to the frame. On the third listing photos, there is a sentence at the bottom that states: “Puzzle glue required and Adhesive tape for mounting is not included” which I took to mean neither the puzzle glue or double sticky tape are included. Strangely there is a roll of red tape included in the order which may be double sticky tape. It was very difficult to remove the shield from the top of the tape. Once removed, the tape is very stretchy and not very sticky, so I’m not sure if that is really the double sticky tape or if that is the best tape to use to adhere the puzzle to the frame. There are no instructions included in the box, which added to the confusion of what the roll of red tape is for.Lastly, the dimension of the chipboard is 20.16 x 27.05in. This does not match the more common 1,000 piece puzzles which are either 50 x 70cm or 24 x 30in. So there will either be gaps in the frame or the puzzle will need to be trimmed. All in all, these frames are not ideal and not easy to use.

I can't get the frame to stay together long enough to set it down. In theory, this is how this should work:1. Assemble your puzzle on the provided board2. Glue the puzzle directly to the board at the top and around the edges3. Assemble the frame4. Lay the board on the frame and stick it down with double sided tapeThe board folds like a game board. I use big tape sheets on the back of my puzzles to hold them together. I don't normally glue them and I was hesitant on how secure this would be, but I was prepared to sacrifice one for science here. But the frame would not fully snap together. I tried all different pieces, and none of the "long side" pieces would stay locked. Coupling that with the lack of support on the front, I wasn't going to try to rig this together only to have it drop to the floor.
