I got the xs for my 7 year old, who is on the small side. They were very baggy around his waist and legs. He also wore a hole through the knee after one wear.

Son needed some layering items for cross country when it starts to get cold. He runs in the morning and it's chilly in the midwest in the early mornings now. They keep him warm and I think it will do great when it gets even colder in the next month for his meets. Purchased pants and tops of the same brand and they fit true to size.
