I have never seen shock absorbers in a skate before. To be honest, I am not sure how I feel about them. To a degree, they seem to make it a bit more challenging for a new skater to feel sure on the skates. Over time, they may help fatigue and impact once learning is done. I wish the wheels were a bit larger to provide a bit more smooth of an experience, but they fit well and were easy to adjust. They were secure on the foot and look great. They also didn't seem to be as hot as some skates. Great for the price... think about the shock absorbers though... maybe not for everyone.

These arrived very well packaged in a heavy-duty box and came with the skates as well as the tools and pieces to replace the front break. I got them for my 10 yo who wears a youth size 4 sneaker and the large fits well in the smallest setting. The style matches the listing photos in design and color. The wheels on ours do light up as the wheels spin, which is a fun detail my daughter loves. The skates are easy for her to put on and take off on her own and are holding up well to use so far. I will say that if your kids are on the rougher side the insert can get a bit smushed and I worry that it will eventually separate from the little button on the side that holds it together. Still, for now it's holding up and they get worn quite a lot.Overall these are really great skates and I'd definitely recommend them.

While these are molded plastic instead of the regular rentals, they take a small break in period and time to get the adjustments right. She really loves that the wheels light up and colors. Hitting the skating rink in her own personal skates was something she really wanted. Quality isn’t top of the line but good for the price point. We are pretty happy with these and she is thrilled.
