La reingeniería de la suela fue un proceso de 24 meses, durante el cual trabajamos para concentrar carbono solo donde sea necesario, lo que resulta en un ahorro de peso del 22% sobre la placa anterior. La parte superior totalmente tejida similar a un calcetín significa que podemos afinar cada zona para el nivel adecuado de flexibilidad y retención, además de que no hay desperdicio de recorte; lo utilizamos exactamente como está terminado. Y al unir casi todas las costuras, hemos creado un zapato que pesa menos y ofrece una mayor comodidad debido a menos volumen. Para colmo, la parte superior de punto cuenta con nuestra tecnología PI Dry que desprende agua, que tiene el beneficio añadido de reducir las manchas del spray de carretera.

They don't drain as well as I expected and they seem a little narrow which will hopefully improve over time. Might have to do some customization

These shoes have a very innovative design, with a sock-like mesh upper, and an outer carbon sole plate with three large vented cutouts. They are also very light, 250g for a size 44 EU.On the inside of the shoe, there’s a series of small vent holes that align with the three sole vents. Unfortunately, every one of those vent holes is clogged with glue, rendering the outer vent areas useless.Pearl Izumi spent two years designing the innovative sole, but they should have also spent some time at the factory making sure that the shoe was manufactured properly. This is a $400 shoe, and the poor quality is inexcusable.As for the fit, it’s very supple and form fitting, and very difficult to put on. I would recommend using a shoehorn, at least until the shoe breaks in a bit.The BOAs are the better two-way type, and the dual closures are very well designed.I had trouble with the toe box width, the shoes pinched my foot badly near the rear of the toe box, but that may not be an issue for others.These were returned, as the poor quality was unacceptable.

I did a short ride to try these shoes (30 miles) and very good sensation. The shoe is super light, very stiff and has lots of ventilation underneath the shoe. For a summer ride, this is the ideal shoe.The only downsides I found so far are [1] the upper has a knit compression system that makes it very difficult to put them on and I only hope to get used to this with time; and, [2] I bought them in color black and the brand letters are in white but in the picture looks like the shoes are completely black.
