This bungee cord was bought to be used by a kid commuting to school. After a couple months, the cable started to lose its flexibility and was fully stretched out after about 6 months. One of the carabiners broke during that time. It's too bad this couldn't even last one school year. :-(

There flat bungees are so much better than the round ones. These flat ones stay in place. These are really thick and sturdy, the carabiners are heavy duty as well. I am in the process of moving and they work perfectly with the tie-down metal loops in the back of my SUV to stabilize stuff.

I really like these flat bungee cords with caribiners on the end--so much safer than the round type with open hooks, which always feel like an accident waiting to happen. They're sturdy with a good amount of stretch. Just what I needed. I haven't put an enormous amount of strain on them so I don't know how much they could handle, but I don't intend to find out. I use them for fairly lightweight security.

Ive used them to strap bags onto my bike and the flat shape and carabiners make it feel very secure. I like that there's several lengths too, I use the shortest one to leash my dog to the bike basket she sits in when I take her for a bike ride, it's just long enough to clip to her harness on one end and loop around the handlebar stem on the other.
