The assembly is easy. The scratching post portion is used by both cats; however, my larger cat doesn't feel comfortable sitting in any of the little cups. My small cats loves it though. I bought two of these and neither of my larger cats sit in them. They are too wobbly and small. Great for small cats though!

Excellent quality. Platforms are a bit small, best for cats under 12 pounds. Would definitely recommend
