I have several of these grips. Up to now, the Sandmarc has been my favourite as it’s solid aluminum and chunky. But this PGY Tech model did it for me. It’s the best one so far. The magnet on the outer side and its flexibility and that it MagSafe charges the phone beat all others.Recommended

This review is for PGYTECH MagCam Phone Grip Kit with MagSafe Wireless Charging/Detachable Bluetooth Remote. This is an interesting device: it's a magnetic grip for your phone that you can charge up, connect via Bluetooth, and use to control your phone's camera. I have a Samsung S25 Ultra and was a bit disappointed to read in the instructions that some of the functionality (like camera focus adjustment and mode switching) don't work with Samsung, but this isn't really true. You can absolutely use the grip to focus on objects, zoom, switch between the main camera and selfie camera... I just can't figure out how to get the grip to quick launch the camera when it's on. I like that once I paired the Bluetooth, the phone now auto-connects to the grip, so I don't need to fumble around to get it to work (other than opening the camera app). I found the grip to be a bit small even for my tiny hands—the distance between where my fingers curl around and the magnet connecting to the phone is kind of short.

Let me be clear .... I am over the top loving this thing!6 stars!!!!If, like me, you are an DSLR user, this is the BOMB! Taking photos or video on a flat candy bar phone has always been awkward. Yes, yes, it is possible but has never been comfortable. This device makes it comfortable. GET ONE! With it I can reliably hold still enough to achieve quality video.My phone is in a leather case and the device still holds on solidly. Use it in either horz or vert modes. You get the hand grip you are used to with a DSLR. Super nice!! Recommended. A very, very useful addition to my camera gear.There is a 1/4" 20 socket on the bottom so it can be mounted to a tripod. Sweet. Charges with USBc. Sweet! The top of the grip detaches so it can be a remote shutter release. The "swing" switch adjusts zoom level.The battery in the grip is just an extra sweetness factor. I would be over the top even if there was no battery. The grip battery charges the iPhone with MagSafe. Also functions as a phone stand.Excellent fit and finish. Flawless. Well-designed and engineered.Deserves the 6 stars!--------(Yes, this was sent to me for review. The opinion is entirely my own. There was no obligation. It would not work out if the box. I charged the battery fully and it still would not power on. Tried for 2 days and gave up. Returning it.
