This is a good piercing to use in an older piercing that has closed. You see, one thing that I never understood when I got my piercing decades ago, is that the hole would never actually completely close, just become narrower. And there are hygienic reasons to keep something in a piercing rather than letting it sit empty, as I'm sure you know.Since this is a much smaller gauge than the standard navel piercing, this can be a used to re-stretch the hole, before moving up to a standard size in a month or two. In the past, I've used a piercing taper insertion pin, to widen the hole over a few days. This petite clicker, I feel, is a bit safer to use for that purpose, as it is less likely to get caught or pulled on than a taper pin.As for aesthetics, I really like the more modern and discrete style of this clicker rings. Amazon also sells nearly identical, but slightly larger, titanium clickers in the standard 14G size, when you are ready to move up, if this appeals to you.
