The cymbal sounds more like a mini ride than a splash. Far too much tinny sustain to be a splash. With a moderate strike there is about ten seconds of sustained ring. It sounds a bit like a small bell. It seems well-made for a $20 cymbal but it's not the sound I was looking for.

Really like the cymbal. It looks great and has good sound and quality for the price. It was delivered in a timely fashion.

The company is not bad and the sound is definitely more quiet. But don’t expect amazing tone.

This is my second splash cymbal of this type, and no, the headline's not a typo. Let's run down the pros and cons:-- Unlike my last "quiet" splash, this one is at least quiet (that one wasn't).-- It's also a lighter weight, and has a faster decay.-- However, unlike a conventional splash -- quick attack, trashy decay -- this one is still a bit more "ringy" than you'd expect. That said, it still gets a decent rating for me, personally. Here's the thing: if I was only going to use this for its intended purpose, it kinda-sorta falls short (if you just need something quiet to whack, it's not awful in that respect, and at least responds like a cymbal of *some* sort should). However, like the other one, it has a unique sound in its own right, and it's also not half bad as part of a quiet-ish trash stack with the other. If your expectations are reasonable (read: suitably low) for the price, you may find a use for it too.
