Vimos por primera vez esta incubadora de huevos de camarones de salmuera en Kowloon, Hong Kong y nos intrigaron instantáneamente su extraña forma. Con algunas dudas sobre la funcionalidad del "plato de reproducción", lo traje a casa y lo probé. ¡Me sorprendieron los resultados en 24 horas! Sin absolutamente ninguna aireación, tubería de aire o calor, mis rendimientos fueron tan buenos como si hubiera utilizado una configuración más elaborada. Con una carga premedida de aproximadamente 0,4 gramos de quistes secos, el plato de criadero produjo más de 100,000 camarones de salmuera bebé. For any low-volume usage, this is perfect. I got plenty of hatching and they head straight into the trap. Super easy to use. Just be sure to sprinkle the eggs lightly so they float on the surface of your salt water. Room temp is fine. First hatches are like 12 hours. It continues for another day. Normal room lighting is enough to bring the shrimp into the trap. Appropriate pricing and fine quality.

Finally wanted to try my hand at baby brine shrimp for my chili rasboras/scarlet badis. This kit is incredibly easy and works as advertised! What I did: prepare 1 quart of water (4 cups), added a drop of dechloronator. Added just under 2 tablespoons of API Aquarium Salt (for freshwater) and stirred well until the salt was dissolved. Assemble the dish as shown in the video, pour water into the dish to the fill line, added a scoop of eggs to outer area. Cover and added a light right above it, which helped heat the water to about 74 degrees (I think they hatch best over 70 degrees). A handful began hatching early, around 18 hours in. A ton more began to hatch around the 24-36 hour range. I had multiple scoops ton feed my tank, if anything I overfed the tank over the next couple of days. Even the Pygmy corys, kuhli loaches, and amano shrimp munched on the ones that ended up the bottom. I am now at the 72 hour mark and still have shrimp hatching. Thinking I’ll gorge the tank and then fast for a day or two while I prep the next batch. The only downside is that I think the inhabitants won’t want to go back to dry foods after this! Very happy with how this worked out.Later edited to add: One issue I found is that I was losing a lot of the baby brine shrimp through the screen, they were just too small and I was ending up with of lot wasted. The solution? Coffee filters! Using part of a coffee filter, I pick up the scoop and let it drain its water right onto a piece of coffee filter above the hole in the dish. Then I place this filter paper into the water to get the BBS off it. Also, I recommend using a pipette to suck up the BBS that get caught under the scoop, and that die around the rings in the bottom. Then drip this pipette onto the coffee filter. Way less waste than before.

Surprised how well this works without a pump. No strainer needed and produces baby brine shrimp for 2 days

Sirve para cuando tienes prisa pero por el precio creo que bien podrías comprar un oxigenador y la botella para eclosionar al máximo la artemia

Been doing research on this where air pump and a heater are always part of the steps. Found this product and gave it a try. I have it in my basement, which is below ground with a room temperature of 18c-19c. I did a batch and within 48 hours, had brine shrimp swimming towards the middle hole (attracted to the light). Didn't have to use a heater and air pump at all. Just this tray and the white circular attachment does wonders. No need to drain the saltwater either before feeding. Overall very clean this setup. Highly recommended. The brine shirmp eggs I used were from Seapora
