These will fit a Go Pro 10 and Go Pro 9, and I bought them to use on my Go Pro 10 hence I will refer to my “Go Pro 10” throughout this review. The Go Pro 10 is an action camera and most of the time the really fast shutter speeds required for correct exposure aren’t a problem. In fact, there are times when the fast shutter speeds are required to get stable and shake free footage. That said, there are times when it is nice to try and get some more cinematic footage, which requires slowing the shutter speed down to achieve the 180 degree rule. The only way to slow the shutter speed enough in good light is to use ND filters. There are many different brands of ND filters available for the Go Pro 10, many of which are very cheap. There is a reason why these ND filters are cheap and that is because they don’t fit the Go Pro 10 very well, they create a colour cast and they often vignette. Cheap ND filters are next to useless and not worth buying. The Polar Pro ND filters are a premium brand and as such they are quite expensive. That said, Polar Pro ND filters are worth every penny and I would recommend digging deeper if you want ND filters for your Go Pro 10.The build quality of the Polar Pro ND filters is second to none. They are tough, durable and fit the Go Pro 10 like a glove. They are quick and easy to install and remove and are supplied in a plastic case to keep them nicely in one place and protected when not in use.ND filters will reduce the image quality, and this is the same regardless of the brand of ND filter you use. The difference between the brands lies in the extent to which the image quality is reduced. The effect on image quality sing the Polar Pro filters is so slight it is negligible and the only way you’re going to notice it is by zooming right in and pixel peeping. Even using the strongest ND filter the loss in image quality is slight. Many ND filters create a colour cast, which is often a real pain to remove post processing. There is no colour cast using any of the Polar Pro ND filters. If you want to create more cinematic footage with your Go Pro the Polar Pro ND filters should be on the top of your list and they will instantly achieve the cinematic effect. Be prepared to dig a little deeper for them - but the extra cost is well worth it.
