The parts I received did not match the image provided. As you can see in the photos, these parts are of the type that accept banana jacks only. I expected the type that would accept banana jacks, spade lugs or bare wire connections. Other than that, the parts look good.

I bought the red, black and blue Pomona banana jacks in three separate orders. I am reviewing them in combination.There are several other colors made by Pomona but these were the only ones I saw on Amazon. These parts are identical except for the color, and all are well made with high quality.

Pomona is a well known and well regarded name in test connectors. I have a number of their products in my workshop and have found them to be well made and very functional. The Pomona 1581-9 Banana Jack is no exception. My only objection is that I would rather see Pomona package five red and five black jacks together as opposed to ten black jacks. Most of our uses for these jacks are for DC power or audio output purposes where having red and black jacks are required.

Good quality banana mount jack. Great way to replace a broken plug or to use in test equipment. Only way it could be better if it were 5 red/5 black in one pack since most will want both colors. But it works fine in testing and I was able to plug in a number of banana plugs with no issues.

Easily mounted, these black banana jacks come with the lock washer, nut, and a separate black insulator. You will likely want the accompanying set of red jacks as well. There's plenty of room on the back of the jack to loop and solder wiring as desired, and the jacks are easily long enough for the majority of applications. I tried these out with both AmazonStandard gold-plated banana plugs as well as with Pomona's own plugs and had no difficulties getting a firm connection with either approach.
