This is a good size snuffle mat, and it is very colorful. We have a new high energy pup and are looking for ways for him to entertain himself and keep him busy. There are many places to hide treats big and small in all the many features of this large mat. I don't use it every day but when he finds it out, he knows there are goodies in there. This comes with a rope toy and two carrots with squeakers in them. Since this is new and he is notorious for tearing up his toys I would suggest only using those when you are around. It has a silicone bottom but still did not prevent him from picking it up and shaking it. I haven't had it long enough to know how durable it is but this does have a lot of different ways to hide treats so I would think any dog young or old would like this.

I have another one of these and my dogs are nuts about it. They have been really bad when I leave for awhile and the one I have really helps keep them busy for awhile. I like the design of this one better as it has more areas where I can hide a treat. These will take a little longer for my three dogs to find the treats. The longer they can be kept busy, the better. I probably will not have the stuffed carrots available as my dogs tend to chew and destroy. The included toy may be something they will play with but I really wanted the snuffle mat. I am actually surprised at how my other one has held up to them although some pieces have come off of it. This one is a better design and I think it will work better. The backing is nice as it stays on the floor really well. And it is washable which is the best part. If you have a dog that has issues with being alone this is a great product. I use training treats and bits of scraps from other treats on these which works really well.

This is a very nice snuffle mat for a small dog or puppy. It comes with several very small, weak toys with squeakers to hide in pockets that both of my dogs enjoyed briefly. The durability and size of the toys are only suitable for a small puppy. My large dog instantly demolished the one she got ahold of. I had hoped to use this for a large dog, and would like something comparable with larger, tougher toysThere are several options for hiding food, with pockets, ruffles and tassels. Both dogs enjoy looking for food on the matt. The mat is made out of fleece. There are a couple of slits you can put food under. I did this once, and the dogs tore it a little, so I don't use that part. Overall, it provides entertainment even for a large shepherd dog, and I think the main body of the mat will hold up for some time, even with use by a large dog. Note: This provides a few minutes of fun, it is certainly not something that will amuse the dog for a long time while you are away. It does keep their interest longer than most puzzles.

I'm becoming a bit of a snuffle mat expert ever since I discovered them! This is a really nice one! It is really super sized with tons of great hiding places that would hold a lot of treats or the meal for a large dog. All kinds nooks and crannies and the bonus 2 squeaker carrots (but, these are small and I would caution keeping an eye on them when your pup is playing with the mat - I had a previous power chewer dog that I'm sure would have destroyed them in about 2 seconds and potentially eaten them). The big pouch feature would hold a very lot of items. I like the design of the big flower with the fleecy fingers in the middle - great and easy place for hiding the treats or kibble. The material seems of typical snuffle fabric (which is good) and the stitching looks good. The bottom has the friction-y material that I think does help for it not to move around a lot while snuffling is going on. If you are looking for a nice big snuffle mat, I do highly recommend this one!
