This was well received by my brother who enjoys fantasy things. He doesn't use it as a candle holder, but puts things like dice and coins instead. Even if you don't want to use it for candles, you can definitely appreciate the whimsy of this item when you add it to your decor

I have another one of these bookends - came in exactly the same type of box, with the same paint, similar design, though the seller's name is different. Bought to match the first one to a pair. Unfortunately, this one is 3" taller than that one, so it doesn't fit inside any bookshelf in my house. Not sure what this is meant to fit in - it's too tall. Paint quality is good, so at least it looks nice. But it's too large to fit anywhere. Seller did disclose height in description, so partly my fault for not reading more carefully. Not sure why there is such a large difference between this and other items in the collection, though, or what type of bookshelf this is meant to fit in.

This would have been my favorite thing ever if I was still 10. He's heavy solid resin and painted really, really well. He's solid. I assumed from the pictures that he was holding a tealight candle (those standard small ones in the foil). Hope, he's a lot bigger than that and can hold something much larger. He's too big to fit on a bookshelf as I showed in the photos. He's bigger than a standard bottle of wine. He's bigger than toy sized. It's really more of an art piece or sculpture which is really cool. Yes, he's pricey but he's worth every cent. I'd still rate this as good value.

If you have anyone in your life that likes anything medieval, or most specifically games like dark souls, skyrim, etc., these knight statues fit that aesthetic nicely. They're made of a very heavy resin material and art painted nicely, and ours didn't come with a chip. I gave it to my husband as a gift and he loved it! He didn't use it as a candle over though, he put something else in the holder. It's a bit pricey otherwise, however.

Wow this is medieval knight in shining armor is a beast of a statue -- although it's only made out polyresin, it's got such impressive heft to it you might think it was made out of real stone and metal. And the guy big -- like this is no little chess-piece sized knick-knack, this statue nearly as tall as my shinbone. And it's appropriately weighted in a way that (thanks to having a heavy base) it shouldn't tip over too easily. The paint work on him is also nice and detailed. I don't plan on keeping a candle in the candlestick-holder tray that the knight is holding, but I figure that tray will be a handy place to toss some coins, dice, candy, or something like that. Overall, it's a cool decoration. (Well, okay, my wife says it's a toy and not a decoration and that I have to share it with the kids and that, no, I cannot keep this giant medieval soldier in the living room -- so I guess it will be going in my man cave haha.)
