These are great quality practice 14" softballs. They are a larger size and weight that their standard 12" but have the same nice poly-vinyl tacky feel casing that my girls love. These are nice for increasing grip and wrist & arm strength for pitchers and even for utility players. We play catch with them and it is challenging for sure - make us pay close attention to mechanics and really opening the glove and squeezing the glove to catch the ball. They are well made and durable.

My daughter has just started using these as training aids so I can't speak to their overall effectiveness however I can say that she had a much easier time understanding and changing grips on the 12" ball after using the 14" trainer.In addition, the balls are very high quality with nice, leather covers as advertised.These will be in our training pack for a long time!
