Great light, but wire in swivel head is loose. Light comes on when it wants to.Warranty is two years, but the costs to send it back and my time isn't worth it.

All of the mounting features are great, and this light is very bright. I've been using it to service pinball machines, and it's really just been working out great. Much more affordable than grabbing a work lamp at the hardware store, too!

The light worked great for a few months. Then the floodlight bar stopped working. The other light modes work as before, but the floodlight stopped turning on completely. And no, the light was not dropped or abused in any way. Would not recommend.

To preface, I've used and am experienced with using a few different similar "stick style" mechanic's lights. I must say this one shocked me a bit, in a good way.Recently I'd been thinking about buying a new light or two, and had a few considerations. I was really thinking of buying a Astro 52SL--a pretty robust pro-grade light with magnetic dock charging, and fast charging. Though these are pricey. Also considering the Milwaukee 2128 which will goes on good sales from time to time in the US.Already having used a few cheaper/generic lights and finding them hit or miss, I've been mainly happy with my Braun light from Harbor Freight for some years though I have the older model with the micro-B charging and single-flex head. I bought this PowerSmith brand on a bit of a whim when I saw the price was good, though I wasn't expecting it to be quite as good as it is. It's actually so good I think I will forget about the pricey Astro/Milwaukee stuff.Among the *numerous* features this thing has are:-Double-hinged folding, which can fold the light completely over in either direction. Folded backwards it is most compact but blocks the charge port and doesn't protect the light lens. However it can just be folded fully forwards instead which does THREE things--protects the light lens, blocks the on/of button, and allows access to the charge port.-Rotating head--rotates nearly 360 degrees around.-Tip light--a must for these type of lights, something Ryobi royally messed up on omitting, with their FVL56 similar style light. Had it not been for that I would have gotten the Ryobi. The tip light on the PowerSmith is actually quite bright too--much brighter and more directed than my Braun light...which I never thought was bad in that dimension to begin with.-Very good brightness. It looks like it does the full 600lm it claims. Brighter than my 390-rated Braun, though the colour temperature is a bit whiter/bluer on the PowerSmith too--some may like this, some may not. Me I have mixed feelings as I think the PowerSmith is just slightly too blue but still fine.-Pretty easily switchable single 18650 battery. It's not completely easy--requires the removal of two screws--but easy enough. Would have preferred an easy to remove click-in battery door here but I guess they don't want you to lose it or have it come loose if you drop the light. The battery that comes in it is a 2000mAh, so it could reasonably be upgraded to a larger capacity battery or just swapped with other charged cells to increase usable run time.-USB-C charge port, pretty standard these days. The manual states charge time is "3hrs", and I measured a peak draw of 900mA (nearly 1A) at 5V when charging from a low battery state (as packaged). That's not amazing or "fast charging", but decent I'd say. I didn't time it but it would probably do a full charge on the included battery in about 2.5hrs or less than it states.-SOC indicator for the battery/charging is a five light array (20% per light), which is nice. Actually gives you a pretty clear indication of the battery charge level, either when turning it on or when charging it.-It has UV light mode--how the heck they thought of yet *another* feature to give you here, for this price point, I'm not sure but there you have it. Very nice! Then there's a couple surprising things I didn't even realise this thing could do when I purchased it:-USB A-port/device charging. I was pretty shocked seeing this--has an A-port you can use to charge things like phones, headphones, etc. It only supports 5V output but I measured a full 1A output with a USB meter and connecting to a phone--nothing amazing but a nice feature to have. Realistically charging a phone/device from a single 2Ah 18650 is just a recipe to have a dead light afterwards, but it can help in a pinch when you need a charge and aren't worried about using the light right then.-Dimmable! Instead of having 2-3 brightness "modes" you instead hold down the button and the light will dim in stepped fashion. You can go in both directions--bright to dim and dim to bright. At peak brightness the light will blink to let you know you're at max. You can dim BOTH the tip light and the main light (you cannot dim the UV mode though).-Hook, magnet, and clamp mounting. I knew about the magnet but didn't really notice it also has a hook and can clamp onto some things with the spring loaded bottom bit. The spring loading is also stronger than you expect though unfortunately there's no rubber sheet/bumper inside the clamp area to protect surfaces. These other two mount options will def come in handy for me given I have one car that has a lot of alum components which often renders the typical magnet on these type of lights, useless. The magnet brings me to my only real complaint about the light. The magnet...it isn't very strong. It's unfortunate they didn't put a stronger magnet on it--if I could ask for any kind of improvement here that would be it--needs a stronger magnet! It's not weak per se but not nearly as strong as other lights I've used. The only unknown will be the durability. The build is all plastic except the hook, clamp rails, and LED housing so there's that downside. But the good news is the plastic really doesn't look, feel, or seem like "cheap plastic". It actually uses good plastic and is well made--seems like it should be pretty durable/tough and hold up well, though only time and use will tell.I could take off a star for the weaker magnet but the reason I won't...is the price. I think they go for less than $25 in the US and Amazon.ca is selling them for $33 CAD right now which is a steal given everything above. How they can give you all this at this kind of price is a mystery. Most of the other decent ones out there only get near this price when on sale; or they cost several times more money. Very good value here; and hopefully the price doesn't go up.As a final note there's one curious thing about the light--in the base there are two copper contacts corresponding to the clamp's "rails". They are marked with +/- as if to suggest these are designed for some kind of charging dock? I put a DMM on these points and they are not live or showing any voltage, but I wonder if they are meant to be activated with some electric pulses/signals or something? PowerSmith does not show any kind of charge dock or station on their website but it would be amazing if these were compatible with some kind of dock to charge. If they produced that I'd buy it in a heartbeat, along with a second light!

Very pleased with this light especially the UV setting. I’ve found it super helpful working side stage in my theater during a show. And then the bright settings work great under my car. Very good value for money. Only gripe is the on/off button is sensitive…if you bump the body it will often switch off. Will buy again.
