I love gum erasers, and this one was no exception, but this one (like all of them honestly) crumbled and broke into pieces fairly easily. If you’re looking for a more durable eraser that won’t create a lot of dust, look for a vinyl eraser. I believe Prismacolor makes one as well, but Tombow and Factis are both great brands that make sturdy white vinyl erasers.

I have a lot of old, antique cameras (Leicas) but the chrome work was "dull". These erasers were recommended on a Leica forum for putting the life back in old chrome, they certainly do, removed any marks and restored them to almost new, without doing any damage.

We used this to cleanup and old pencil/charcoal drawing we wanted to frame - tried other types, but this was by far the best. Shipped quickly!

for artwork (drawing, sketching) and also for the more prosaic removal of pencil marks made in error on a list. However the only gum erasers I owned dated back to the late 1970s, and they had become mostly desiccated, so it was way past time I replaced them with working erasers!
